"they suck ass !!! THEY DONT EVEN HAVE A WEBSITE !!!!"
"Will not purchase from again in Birmingham,AL location. Business will not return items in any way, shape or form except for exact item only.
Have purchased many things from them in the past that were needed quickly. ( I work in IT industry, networking, desktop).
A few months ago purchased a Abit motherboard for $50 more than could have gotten at most places online. After spending countless hours over 5 days troubleshooting and on Abit forums, everyone determined that it was defective. I took complete pc system back to CBW to check out. They determined that the motherboard was bad, but that it was my fault because it had a tiny indention by processor because screwdriver slipped and thermal paste residue on some spots. The damage was very negligible and the motherboard had never worked prior to that anyway. They would "try" and RMA it. After i purchased a replacement motherboard and charged $80 for them looking at it, they told me that if it was RMA'd succesfully, to speak with a manager to see about getting store credit in exchange for the new motherboard they received.
This was said to me because i had paid for replacement already and labor.
I was contacted finally that the RMA went through and that they received the replacement, So I went and spoke with manager, and they would not exchange motherboard for anything.
$'s spent: $150 on motherboard, $80 on them working on my pc to determine bad motherboard, $150 on a replacement motherboard. "
"The people at the local establishment here in central Florida were great. Never pushed me into buying something, plus one of the workers there was also a gamer/overclocker/modder/enthusiast. The prices were astounding for a somewhere I could go to locally, and will match any cheaper prices on their website at the store. Would definitely buy again."
"I found what I wanted. The delivery and tracking was good. The product did not work. I received no tech support from emails nor did I received any response for a RMA"
"Oh my God. This place is absolutely terrible. I got my Athlon 2200+ from them. It came nearly a month later and was a bad chip so I had to RMA it. Their RMA department is never reachable through the option in their automated phone system, you have to bug an operator to connect you to someone. They also had their "techs" test my chip and send it back to me, saying it was good. It was decidedly crispy. After consulting Asus(maker of my mobo) and AMD they finally agreed to take it again and RMA it. Again. It took them a week to "receive" the CPU after they actually signed for it from FedEx. I finally got fed up and demanded a refund from them. I'm not even sure if I actually got my money back yet. We'll find out when the next credit card bill comes..."
"Oh my gosh, I wish I had read these reviews about Computer Builders Warehouse (CBW) before I purchased from them! I recently ordered a AMD XP Retail CPU and was worried after reading all of these complaints. I did not find this place until 3 days after I placed my order.
Well to cut to the chase I guess I was one of the lucky one's as I receive my order with out any problems and it was well packaged. The only thing I could complain about is the high shipping cost. I feel they charged twice what it should of cost to ship a 1 lb. box by UPS Ground with tracking, but then I did save money even with the high shipping charge over what other venders wanted for the same CPU.
BTW; I have noticed that most of the venders now days charge you twice or more what it would cost anybody to go to UPS and ship the same size and weight package to anyone in the 48 States, using the free UPS box like many use to ship out their orders.

"A good company. I bought almost all my PC parts from them. Took a very short time to ship the parts. Very reliable company."
"Price quotes are more than generous in the custom work that they do."
