"EXTREMELY PATHETIC Customer service, they give you so much CRAP on the phone. The way you are treated by them on Phone if u call their Toll Free # is with SMART ASS replies and nothing else. I have tried talking to 4 different customer service agents so far ( 3 ladies and one guy) and their tones were Degrading and Mocking as if you were asking them for a Donation than buying from your money.

All I wanted was a f****ing 20.0 GB Hard Drive, but I ended up buying from other people eventhough I paid more, but it's ok. Their website lists as though they are carrying every DAMN product but when you have SUBMITTED your Credit Card #, they tell you, "We ARE OUT OF STOCK ON THIS ITEM!!!. WOULD U LIKE A REPLACEMENT?" And you will get a SHITTY Replacement, believe me in the same pricce. So basically you are STUCK after giving your Credit Card #.

I'm sure their own people gave them Excellent comments and ratings to Jack up the Rating scale. Cuz all I've seen on the Comments page is DETAILED BAD comments from people like me who learnt their Lesson after dealing with them.

If you Don't believe me, look at other people's comments. 90% comments are similar to mine and those that aren't, are fake, given by their own people!!! Do not deal with these guys !!!!

"I ordered a 30.7GB udma/100 Maxtor Hard drive. They substituted instead an 8.4 GB charging me the same price. Now I'm stuck with the return shipping cost and another wait for the right product."

"Wacth out! These guys sell junk, Refurb or pulls, they list this garbage at pricewatch with the new products so you think Your buying New. my drive came with warranty void if removed stickers all over it that covered up cracks in the housing the drive died within 48 hours."

"Lacking in customer relations: Slow shipping of wrong product with further slow response to RMA request. In this type of situation, when the retailer/reseller, ships a wrong product I would expect the seller to immediately act to remedy the situation. Instead, the wrong item will have to be returned before the correct item, if in stock, will be shipped back. Also, return shipping on wrong item will be paid by purchaser. 012703 Update: Sure 'nuff; apparently they dun run out, if PriceWatch.com is an indicator. But, rather than state the facts of the situation, I'm bound to first return the wrongly shipped item then I'll be told the bad news :( They do have some alternatives but would you think they'd put any offers up front. No such luck. You can bet your inflated S&H charge I'll not spend another dime at Computer Disk Service Inc.

"They advertised a scsi card on Pricewatch and stated that it had to be ordered on line. I called the 800# and verifed that it was in stock. I placed the order and then 30 hours later they e-mailed saying that it wasn't in stock. I refused a substitute. I STRONGLY SUSPECT THEY ARE RIP OFFS and I rate them at the bottom of the barrel.

I should have checked resellerratings first.

"I have only a couple of words:
Absolutely TERRIBLE!

I have ordered my HD in mid-September, now it's 4-th of November, and guess what? I don't have it!
That's all I can say. They sell crap they probably got for free somewhere, and their replacement procedure is a mess. You'll bump into it, because they'll get you crap 50% of the time.

"I not only received a BAD drive, but I specified no replacements in the proper field on their form and they still sent a compag instead of Maxtor as I stated. I have made 3 long distance calls to a toll number and still have not been offered any resolution other than go to the website and apply for an RMA. I own a small computer repair service and we buy all our parts on the internet. I will never order from CDS again."

"These guys are absolutely terrible.
First they will not respond to email
inquiries to technical support (we
sent 2) and then when you get them,
they give you sales idiots, not techs.
And watch out for this guy TonyP --
he is a major d*ckweed - he wants
someone to "kiss his *ss" - that
is how they speak to you on the phone
at this company. It's amazing - I'm
a 20 year pro in this biz and customer service
gets worse and worse every day. DONT
USE THESE GUYS WHATEVER YOU DO.
