"I just purchased 2 Dell GX270 Slim P4 computers with the 512MB DDR memory upgrade. I received both of them today via FedEx. I opened the first box and plugged all of my peripherals in to the computer and pushed the power button. All I got was the "steady Orange light" on the power button. Went to Dells website to lookup the manual for this machine and guess what? The Orange light means "the motherboard has a problem. So I opened up the second box and plugged in all the peripherals and pushed the power button and "the Orange power light" came on solid. I spent the next hour checking and re-checking what may be wrong. I could not call Computer_Show.com because it was too late in the day. I will call them in the morning and see what the out come is. I will post the results here. I can't believe they sent me two bad computers. Bummer.... "
"i have ordered with CS numerous times over the past 4-5 years. 6 mo warranty + tested refurb dell/name brand products + pricing = why. service = why i'm writing this.
joe, manny, and everyone there is equally helpful. only had handful of hardware issues over the years (disks eventually fail etc) and they replace it w/o even asking about the warranty sometimes. if its small, no rma involved, just toss the defect.
they have proven to be a super find with likewise service thus far, and considering how quickly, easily, and ubiquitously this industry ticks me off ... trust me, this is a rare and earned compliment."
"Purchased a IBM NetVista 1.6Ghz desktop from this company and am extremely happy with the product and service.
When the unit arrived it would not recognize the HD. Called support who picked up on the first ring (imagine that!) and an extremely knowledgeable tech quickly diagnosed the problem as a pierced IDE cable. He claimed this was a common shipping problem they have experienced with the NetVistas. Shipped me a replacement cable for two-day delivery free of charge, and when it arrived we were back in business.
Having poped the case off during the diagnostics, I noticed Computer-show.com and installed a new HD as part of their refurbishment. It was an ATA IV 7200rpm Seagate Barracuda considered one of the quietest fast-spin HDs on the market.
The result is we now own a fast, quiet desktop at a reasonable price--just what I was looking for--and with a brand new HD. To top that off, it came with a six-month warranty. Who could ask for anything more? Extremely satisfied with this vendor."

"This is a great company. Not just when you buy a product but when you return it. I purchased a monitor. When I got it it would run fine for about 60 minutes then blur.
The memory I ordered with it was fine though.
I contacted them and the technician suggested it might be defective and gave me a RMA number.
They had FEDEX pick the package up.
About a 5 days later I received an email saying that indeed the monitor was defective and they had shipped another one out to me at no charge and there would be no restocking fee.
I buy a lot of parts and equipment, it is rare to find honest people. Usually companies will just say it tested fine and you cant do much about it.

"Well, I ordered a WinXP compatable mouse for my system and was accidently shipped the wrong mouse. Of course being as upset as I was I wanted answers immediately and wanted my problem fixed NOW.
To my surprise Computer-Show.com did just that. Immediately after I got in contact with them my problems were solved. They had a new mouse shipped to me that very same day. Very impressive.
I deal alot with online computer companys and I have had many things shipped to me that were DOA or just the wrong item. Its always been a huge hassle trying to get the right product sent to me or it would cost me an additional cost. Normally I would first have to send the item back to the company (paying for the shipping) then after the company got it they would send me the item I origianlly purchased. That process usually took up to a month longer then it should have.
Computer-Show.com did just the opposite. They made sure I had a new mouse shipped to me that very same day. I already have my new mouse and I just sent my first email to them yesterday informing them of the Misshipment.
Talk about incredible service and standing up for their policies. All I can say is I would be more then willing to do all my business with Computer-show.com from now on.

I EMAILED THEM AND ASKED FOR THE LOWER PRICE SINCE IT WAS JUST THE DAY AFTER I BOUGHT ONE. OF COURSE THEY NEVER RESPONDED TO 2 EMAILS 2 DIFFERENT DAYS. "Let me start by saying that the website that they have is well set up and the ordering process is extremely easy and efficient. You have access to order status almost instantly and a tracking number is available very quickly from their site. I actually prefer this system to being mailed the tracking number. You can get real-time order status information at any time on their website...this is a great benefit. Now, for some areas of opportunity. Their phone and e-mail based customer service has generally been poor. The phone staff are very monotone and unfeeling and seem to be more worried about getting off the phone than resolving my situation. I have had multiple bad experience with phone based staff with this company. It's almost as if web-based companies think that they can skimp on phone support since they are on the web....we all know this is not the case.
I most recently received a defective cd-rom from this company. It was DOA right out of the box. I called to get the required RMA number and was told that I would have to pay to ship the product back. This was contradictory to the information on their website which stated plain as day that they would pick up "products" that were defective. It specifically stated "products" would be picked up at their expense if they were defective. I e-mailed a copy of their policy to the RMA e-mail address and they sent back a response that blew me away!! They actually went out to their website and changed the wording of the return policy, and then e-mail me a response back with the new wording attached! They changed their policy on the website, and then sent me the response! I could not believe it was happening! I had saved an HTML copy of their old policy which was time dated so that I could prove what it used to say. I sent this to the complaints department and they did pick up the cd-rom drive from me. But the only reason I think they picked it up was the fact that whoever at the company went out and changed the wording of the policy missed one spot where it still said "products" rather than their new policy of "computers and monitors."
So if you want defective products picked up at their expense you are out of luck at this point...unless it is a computer or a monitor. They will not pick up the smaller items any longer at their expense. I think they finally got the wording changed in both spots!
Prices seem to be good, shipping is very reasonably prices and the website is well designed. The service you get is what I would label as "hit and miss". I definitely do not like resellers changing policy on their websites as I am asking the question...that seems very unethical to me. If you do have a problem though...e-mail the complaints department...they have taken care of me to this point."
"Excellent on-line service and delivery. I purchased an old style motherboard from them on-line on a Saturday. As expected, they processed the order on Monday. To my surprise it also shipped out that Monday. I received an email from them stating it had shipped. The next day (Tuesday) I got another email with my Fed-X tracking number. This allowed me to "watch" it travel across country and arrive in my home town on Wednesday. It was delivered to my house the next day - Thursday. The motherboard was in an original box inside a "peanut" filled Fed-X hard box. The manual, CD and cables were in their original un-opened bags. The Motherboard ws in a static bag but it had been opened previously (as noticed by the torn sticker under the one sealing the bag) but the board had never been installed before and was in excellent shape. The manufacture date stamp shows it to be exactly 2 years old, so it was in surprisingly good shape. I will consider Computer-Show.com again for any small component purchases in the future.
