"Ordered a Linksys router/switch. Received rapid email response that order placed and billed my creditcard. Next day I have fraud alert on my citibank creditcard and have to stop all future charges. I call them and give them the fraud alert information so they will check their billing systems. They charged my card and item was shipped to New Mexico instead of California. When I call about item in New Mexico instead of calling me back they send me an email instead of calling. Now I have to call them again to confirm a credit on my creditcard. Don't be fooled by the low prices. "
"BEWARE! Don't buy from this company! They list items as "in stock" or as shipping "Same Day" but they actually don't stock anything. Of course you don't find this out until AFTER you give them your credit card number.
I ordered a wireless card which said it would ship the same day, but then got an email two days later saying that it wasn't in stock, but they would try to get it ordered in the next 30 days. If not, then they cancel your order.
It might save you some money if you happen to pick an item that is actually in stock because they advertise good prices. But I would find somewhere else to buy from if I were you."
"What a joke. I ordered a Dazzle FireWire/SCSI Converter and they called me back an hour later to say they only had a similar item in stock. I said ok. they called an hour later to say they only had a damaged product that was an offbrand of the 'similar' item they called baout earlier."
"Terrible, the tech support was informative and helpful; unfortunately, it fails miserable to counter the rest of this joke of a company. You wouldn’t even catch me haggling from the back of there van on a going out of business sale! ...See-ya"
"I ordered it on Tuesday night at about 9 o' clock and received it on Friday at about 11 o' clock in the morning. Perfect condition. I will definantly be ordering from them again! "
"I ordered a Palomino Athlon XP 2100, and Compuview shipped me the wrong part: a Thoroughbred Athlon XP 2000. It was supposed to be OEM but appeared used. It was also incompatible with my computer system.
I completed their online RMA form the same evening and sent them a postal letter, a fax, and left voice mail on their support number about the mistake. Instead of receiving the promised RMA number in 24 hours, it took four days of repeated calls - which were never answered by a human voice - faxes, and emails.
After they received the RMA, confirmed by the UPS tracking number, they never responded. Period.
After additional phone calls and emails over the next three weeks, I presented the problem to my credit card company. They will cancel payment next week (30 days from cmishop receiving the returned merchandise) if they continue to ignore the problem."
"They did not have in stock what I had ordered and did not notify me, except when I called them. Their customer service was not very helpful and did not give me all my available options until I threatened to cancel the order."
"DON'T DO IT!!!!DON'T DO IT!!!! NO MATTER WHAT THE PRICE IS! Bait and Switch Any savings will be lost in aggravation. I ordered a cordless phone that was in stock during the ordering process then "OUT OF STOCK" the next morning in the order confirmation. But still "IN STOCK" on site with $30.00 price increase. Called and asked them they said 6-10 weeks for stock to be replaced. "
"No problems here. Purchased an Asus Motherboard w/onboard SCSI/ IDE support SLot 1 CPU upto 700mhz p2b-s to replace a burnt-out one in a server. Great price, fast shipping.
A CD and manual would have been nice but I got it off of the ASUS site, no problem
"
"Shipped wrong items. Did not answer online RMA request. Called them over a month 8 times. Rep always acknowledged their wrongdoing, but said "processing request". When processed, did not honor RMA, because "too long" time had passed - even with their own stalling it was still within their deadlines though. I threatened them with BBB and attorney gen. Then they returned some money, but retained about 10% (127 USD). Read the other reviews and never shop with them Also called CMISHOP"
"I have to say this company must be the king and epitomy of 'bait and switch' tactics. They have the Fujitsu MAN3735MP drive listed on pricewatch for 268. On their site they show it In Stock at that price, but if you order it online they take a couple of days to tell you the drive is not in stock. Not only do they not have it in stock they say they can special order it for you which will take up to a week and it will cost you $355 instead of the advertised price. They have done this to me twice now, and I feel like I could never order from them again as it's really just a waste of my time (it took them two weeks to send a drive that they did have in stock)."
"I make a mistake by purchasing the wrong secondary battery for my IBM thinkpad 600 series. Too big, does not fit my laptop. Called in to exchange for p/n 12j2462, Good service. The employee was very helpful. Helped me to explain what I could do to solve this problem. Within a short period, RMA was approved, and I am able to use my laptop now. Definitely a good company to keep in mind for. "
"Due to business needs, I had to use my personal credit card to order items for work -- so the shipping address was different than the billing address. They insisted that my billing address was incorrect (I've only lived there for 10 years, and had the credit card for over 15!). They asked if the person I was shipping the items to was a relative. There is an extremely high level of frustration here, due primarily to the ignorance of these people. Bottom line: don't bother with these people."
"Pitiful. I ordered two uninterruptable power supply units, they misplaced my order and then had problems charging my company CC. The CC problems may not have been their fault, but they took a month to tell me about it. Then the UPS units showed up damaged - plastic broken, large pieces of metal bent.
They apologized for the damage and needed a case number from the shipper (UPS comes out and inspect the goods and packaging materials) they told me all they needed was a case number from UPS that would confirm that UPS has inspected the damage. I call back with the order number and UPS case number and they don't have any idea what I'm talking about. I'm sure that I'll continue to have problems trying to get my companies' money back.
This is the end of month 3 of trying to order two APC UPS units."
"AVOID THESE GUYS LIKE THE PLAGUE! Even if you pay double, NEVER buy from them. I ordered a tape drive, waited a week, and when i called to check te status of the order, i was informed that they were out of stock. no phone call, no email, no nothing! No apology for the error either! I am amazed at the inneptitude of these low life's. I can assure you i never treat my customers like this., and i will NEVER buy from them again!"
