Long story at parts desk. I won't get parts here again

"I ordered online for pickup using vin. At the counter, I asked the man to run the vin from the vehicle registration as a check. He tells me this part may not fit. Another guy comes to counter. 5 minutes later, they realize they entered the wrong vin into the computer. Even after correcting that, there is still a long story I don't understand. I hope the radiator fits. "

Order was cancelled twice

"I ordered transmission fluid and an oil filter online for pick up. I agreed to all the terms including “I accept that these parts may not fit your car”. The order my entire order was cancelled and it was followed by an email stating that the transmission fluid I ordered was not compatible with my vehicle. I emailed back that the fluid was what I was instructed to order by my mechanic who has been fixing Toyotas for 40+ years. I stated I was going to reorder and please not to cancel my order again. Within minutes of ordering. It was cancelled again and I was receiving a phone call (while at work) by an employee named Frank. Frank explained that that fluid was not compatible with my vehicle. I said to him once again it’s what I ordered so please just give it to me. Not to mention, he completely disregarded the fact that there were other items on my order. Just cancelled the whole order. I asked why did I accept that I understood that the parts may not fit my vehicle if he was just going to cancel the whole order. He disregarded. Told me I had to come in to order the fluid. I explained that I had a new transmission from a different car that was compatible with my engine, he disregarded that as well. I decided to go somewhere else and had to pay more. But it was worth it if I didn’t have to deal with Frank. By the way. The transmission dip stick says T-IV. My car is fine. "

Cumbersome website

"All I wanted was a cargo area cover for my 2018 RAV4. You know, the black sheet that pulls out of a bar across the cargo area like a window shade so people who break into cars to steal stuff are hopefully fooled into thinking you don’t have anything.
I already had the part number. I entered the part number in the search bar and it returned all kinds of crazy parts - fuel filters, cargo mats, cargo nets, vacuum canisters, window motors, anything with a similar part number. I can’t tell you how many times I entered my vehicle info, even the VIN. Eventually I sifted through several hundred results and found the cover I was looking for. Except now the listing for that cover is saying it may not be compatible with my RAV4. I knew it was because I copied the part number right off an overpriced listing on eBay. I added the cover to the cart. Now I want to confirm I have the correct part in the cart. The part number is nowhere to be found, nor is there even a list of known applications. Not until I actually paid for the part with no hope of correcting it was I able to confirm I did in fact pay for the correct part.
Fortunately I was shopping on Labor Day weekend. There was a “sale”. I think it was twenty percent off the msrp (ooh! Almost a reasonable price!) and free shipping. Shipping would have costed $53. No. I’m sorry. It does not cost $53 to ship an item that weighs about three pounds in a 48”x4”x2” box. I guess that’s why that box was shipped in a box that was 66”x16”x12”. Loosely. No wadded paper or bubble wrap. Just a huge cushion of air to go from New Jersey to Pennsylvania. Sure you’d pay that much to ship it overnight but this was three day standard shipping.
Anyway, I got it. It was the correct part. I wouldn’t brag about getting a deal but I didn’t pay too much. And it came in a reasonable time frame.
I’m pretty sure it didn’t need to be that difficult though.
