"We purchased an extended warranty with Consumer Priority Service "CPS" on the refrigerator we bought last year. The fridge is over a year old and no longer covered under the manufacturer's warranty. CPS sent out a repair tech to look at the unit. All seemed good, and they appeared super helpful until the service tech found the refrigerator needed repairs that would cost more than it would be to replace the fridge. So, CPS contacted the manufacturer, who sent their service tech out and confirmed the findings. Since it's no longer under the manufacturer's warranty, they will not do anything about it. CPS keeps telling me that they are waiting for the manufacturer to give them a report to tell them how to proceed with this refrigerator. It has now been several months, and CPS keeps telling me I will hear something in 24-48 hours every time I call. I have called several times. I wait 24-48 hours as they ask, then I hear nothing back, so I call again. Then get some response like the manufacturer's system is down or something along those lines, and I should hear something in 24-48 hours. I have asked several times to speak to a manager, and I am always told that the manager is on the other line and will call me back when he is off. Then I get no phone call back. I have three kids and an elderly parent that lives with me, and we have now gone several weeks without a refrigerator to keep food. CPS keeps giving me the run around, and I feel like they are hoping I will break down and buy a new refrigerator. Unfortunately for them, I do not have the money to do that, So I guess I get to keep fighting with them to get this repaired or replaced like they said they would do when I purchased their warranty."
