"I did not buy the FreeZone CPU cooler from CoolIt Systems. I purchased the unit from Crazy PC on May 9, 2006. I received the unit about a week later and installed it in a newly built system. CoolIt Systems is a Canadian company which manufactures the unit and does the warranty work.
My rating concerns the warranty work done on the unit.
On or about June 24, 2006 (about a month after installing the unit)I noticed that the fluid was leaking from the unit at one of the connections to the CPU waterblock.
I e-mailed CoolIt Systems using their contact e-mail page late on June 24th. I did not receive a response by the 27th so I called their 800 number.
The call was answered on the second ring by Lori. Lori was efficient, helpful and pleasant. She asked me to e-mail her directly with certain information necessary for a RMA. I sent the information within a few minutes and she reponded with the form and directions as to what to do within minutes. We actually exchanged e-mails twice on June 27th.
The unit took about a two weeks to get in their hands via UPS. I shipped it on June 28th; it arrived July 11th. They shipped it back to me on July 19th; it arrived July 25th. There was a slight delay in their hands due to their decision to replace the original pump with a new pump that was described to me as "better designed and should be much better".
I only expected the leak to be fixed, yet they not only fixed the leak but also upgraded the pump on their own initiative.
I commend Lori for her efficent management of my problem and thank her for the enjoyable telephone conversations that we had."
