"About the case:

I purchased this Speck Products case because I have another one of their cases for iphone 3GS. I liked the design and the way it provides protection for the device. It was a no brainer to buy a similar product from the same maker for the ipad. It provides protection on all corners and the back. The glass front is not covered by this case, so you may want to purchase a screen protector if you want. You will have to remove the ipad from the case if you have a charging dock, but you can sync if you are just plugging in the cable.

About the company:

I found Cost Central when searching for the case by Speck's part number. No one had them in stock that I could find with exception of Cost Central. Also, their discounted prices and reasonable ground shipping rate is what sealed the deal.
I would highly recommend both the case for iPad and the vendor.

"I have two concerns about my order. First, I ordered a system with Windows 7 Pro. When the system arrived, it had Windows XP Pro SP 3 installed. A copy of Windows 7 Professional was included on DVD but there was no documentation regarding the downgrade and I had to call Cost Central. The service representative to whom I spoke claimed that "many customers wanted XP" so that was why the ProBook came with XP installed. The problem is I DIDN'T want XP. I had to install Windows 7 and then go looking for all the HP add-on software and re-install that on the system. Since there was no documentation, I went and purchased an anti-virus solution -- unaware that I could have used McAfee. This is totally UNACCEPTABLE behavior by Cost Central.

The 2nd problem is that my order is still incomplete. Two items, the add-on 2GB RAM and the 4 Year service contract have yet to be delivered to me. I had to call Cost Central to ask for status. I was told that the memory will arrive Monday 7/26 -- but as of today (7/24) I still do not have any shipping information. I was also told I would be emailed the service contract information -- but I wasn't told when.

I purchased this system from Cost Central because I understood I would enjoy a discount on the HP product from the list price. With all the extra work I've gone through -- and the $51 cost of the anti-virus software -- I've ended up not saving a penny -- but I have lost a great deal of time.
