"With some apprehension I ordered 2 Sony OPTIARC AD-7690H-01 slim line, slot loading DVD drives and the power/data cables to go with them. These are laptop drives that I intended to install in my desktop system.

Hence the apprehension, because not only do you have to worry about finding a mounting adapter that will properly accommodate the drives but the laptop DVD drives also use a different form factor SATA power/data interface.

Fortunately everything worked out all right. I was able to find a mounting bracket from DigiStor that supports both DVD drives in a single half height 5.25" drive bay, the drives themselves work great and the SATA converter cables (slimline->normal sata data and molex power) worked great as well.

Everything on the Cost Central side worked as you would expect. Confirmation of the order, confirmation of shipping w/tracking information and timely shipping and delivery of the product.
