Would like me to lie to the police

"Hello,
I just got off the phone with one of your customer service agents who suggested that “OBTAIN A POLICE REPORT FOR A STOLEN ITEM THAT WASN’T STOLEN.” While I appreciate the advice to LIE to the police, I will have to pass on that.
We order a set of chairs, which is an order of 2, however we received one. I know we received one because I helped get it off the truck. My home surveillance footage can verify this. However, generally a set of two, mean 2 items. I was under the assumption that the other one may have been lagging in its delivery, but apparently not as it never arrived. Customer chat recommended that we file a police report, then said we can take our singular chair to a store and they will refund it if we don’t want to. So then I went to the store as to not have to lie to the police, they said they cant do anything with an online order and a single chair. So then I called to talk to a person online again, and they recommended that I “not lie”, But that I need to call the police, have them come to my residence, and get a police report for the nothing that happened. I could show them the video of nothing being stolen?
What the hell is that… Thanks guys.

They Stole money

"Stole money! Worst customer service. Egift purchased which doesn't work, even had manager at the store try it and didn't work for her either. Have been back and forth on phone and email... and the only answer they keep sending me is "the gift card is active and has balance". I never asked them if its active, I asked them to send me one that work... still don't have it!"

Worst customer service

"I placed an order on line and tried to f/u on the order to no avail. The phone would ring, ring, and ring until it would just disconnect itself.
Finally, my order arrived with products leaking. I tried to contact customer service through their email system that they say will be followed up on within 24 hours. Days, weeks, went by without a response. I called & left numerous vm with no call back.
Again finally, after being on hold for over 1 hr. someone got on the phone to address my leaking product. He assured me that a credit would be issued in 15 days. 15 days goes by, no credit.
I call again, another 1+hr. to get another person to tell me nothing has been done, that she will f/u and have the credit issued.
I started this order in the beginning of May and now July finally i received the credit.
This is the worst company, poorest customer service I have dealt with. Run to another competitor for better quality and much better service before you experience a nightmare like i have.

Never buying furniture from world market again

"I ordered a bookshelf Apr 22. Waited for weeks and paid for the piece. Today is May 14 and it still hasn’t arrived. I have spoken with world market’s customer service and filed two customer service tickets (never answered). They referred me to seko deliveries. I spoke to two different offices. The last person assured me that the bookshelf would be delivered this weed and a delivery person would reach out to me to arrange a time. I haven’t heard a word. "

Don't order online

"Ordering online is a complete disaster. The inventory on their web site is not up to date. I tried to order online 4 times. My orders went through, but then a couple of days later I was informed that the item was out of stock (in 3 cases), and that the item belonged to another customer and therefore mine was cancelled (in 1 case). In all cases their web page showed that the items were in stock and available. They completely wasted my time because their web site inventory is not accurate. "

DO NOT ORDER ITEMS TO BE SHIPPED

"Ordered 11/22/19. First promised delivery date was 11/27/19, second promised delivery date 11/29/2019, third promised delivery date 11/30/2019. Fast forward to the morning of 11/30/2019 tracked my shipment again.... Changed to 12/2/2019. Literally checked it again, this time at 11:00pm 11/30/2019. NEW DELIVERY DATE.... 12/3/2019. No response from customer service. Definitely won't order from World Market ever again and will share my experience with as many people as possible. Poor customer service!"

Please NEVER Order From World Market!

"I have never had such a horrific experience in ordering a piece of furniture as I have with World Market. I ordered this table on June 1, 2019 & NEVER received it after waiting 2 months! I called over 15 times, but to the two shipping companies that World Market engaged as well as World Market. They gave me the run around time after time & promised that it would be delivered on several difference occasions. After waiting 2 months without a dining table, I don't know what else to do but to move on. I have never had such a disappointing & frustrating experience in ordering a product from a retailer as I have with them!

I strongly discourage anyone from ever ordering any furniture from World Market.

Terrible Customer Service

"I was highly dissatisfied with the customer service at World Market. Was simply trying to exchange one pillow for the exact same pillow but in a different color and was told there was a balance of $4. I did not have my card on me because when I had previously purchased the pillow I was told it would be an easy exchange if needed. When going through the exchange the manager was very rude and unhelpful."

Horrible customer w

"I have had the worst experience with World Market ever and I would never order ANYTHING from this incompetent company again...
I placed an order on Sunday 11/11 and updated my address to AZ from MI when I received an email confirmation they mixed part of my MI address and AZ address together. I called within an hour and thought it could be changed. The customer service rep told me she could not change it and I would have to contact my postal service or who ever was shipping it and change it with them or let it ship to the wrong address and come back to the store., Hung up!
Called back the next rep took my address told me he would put it on a supervisors deck and it would be taken care of. So I called Monday morning 11/12 and spoke to a Supervisor who stated it was not to late and it would be taken care of, matter of fact she called me back to ask me for my address again. Then Tuesday night I get a new email that it shipped, low and behold it’s still the old address. I called spoke to ANOTHER supervisor and she stated there was not no guarantee that the address would have been changed and now I would have to let it ship to an address that doesn’t even exist and wait for that to happen.
I was unable to talk to someone who could actually give me answers or tell me that my over $500 purchase was gonna be taken care and be able to reach me by Thanksgiving. I’m so disappointed and disgusted with the incompetence of how this was handled as will never give them my business. Buyer beware Cost Plus don’t care about you and what you spend with them!

Basically theft

"Placed an order in excess of 150$ and the item never came; was informed at one point that it was damaged and therefore being returned to the warehouse. Then the disappointing scenario of me calling and them telling me different stories about my refund, ensued. Ultimately had to stop calling and they never returned my money (kept saying it's on way each time I call) as of more than two months later. The business is not BBB accredited; must stay away; they ruined an element of online shopping for me."

Great Customer Service

"I was browsing the store at South Center Mall in Tukwila, WA (near Seattle) and found a great little table. A customer representative assisted me in getting a new, boxed table from the warehouse, then advised me to use the Cost Plus mobile site to get 15% off my purchase. The cashier was so very friendly and helpful when I couldn't get the site on my phone. I was already in the system so she looked up my phone number and, voila!, I got my 15% off. Then, the really great guy in the warehouse assisted me in getting the table into my car. It's hard to go somewhere and find EVERY employee so gracious and so willing to help. I was impressed."

"I was shopping online for the 50% off sale on Black Friday. The website malfunctioned as I was trying to process the order so I had to call and place the order via their customer service team. Their customer service team submitted the order, but put an incorrect shipping address- which I discovered when the e-mail was finally sent that the order had been processed. I had to call customer service a SECOND time to get them to change the shipping address and was told they needed to cancel the entire order and resubmit. They cancelled the order and then said 2 of the 3 items were no longer available.

I asked for a supervisor and he said that I would likely have gotten an e-mail that said the items were not available anyway...because the website only updated once in 24 hours. Why would the order have appeared to have gone through if the items were not in stock at the time? Is it good customer service to be sending people an order of cancellation over an hour after they placed the order--if he were in fact telling me the truth and there were none in stock to begin with? I only received a message that my order had been processed.

He said he could let me still get the items at that price...but had no idea when they would be available. It's black friday...Christmas shopping. Obviously I need them for Christmas. The supervisor then told me he could offer a free shipping voucher. Free shipping? That was $4 and the amount I was saving from the 50% discount was $20.

I have shopped in World Market stores before and never had any issues. This was the first time I tried to use the website and I will never use it again. Awful website, awful customer service.

WorldMarket are an excellent company to do business with . I have bought from them for over 1 years and never had a problem with a return or damaged item. Sometimes I get items within 2 days. Always helpful customer service waiting to help in any way they can. I love this company and will be ordering additional furniture from WorldMarket in the near future!
