"This company is a wire fraud scam, as they will offer a trial and then even if you "cancel" it you're going to keep getting charged. I just discovered I had 5 months of fraudulent, illegal, and bogus charges for over 20 dollars a month after I know for a fact I canceled my trial. The executives of this company should be sentenced to prison."
"They will charge you over $20 a month, regardless of what they say. DO NOT SUBSCRIBE."
"I sign up for the 14 days trial and canceled the subscription right away, 4 weeks later they made a debit from bank account, send an email to customer service and they refunded half of the money only “ as a courtesy they said”
A total Scam
I keep sending emails but they won’t give my money back. "
"I paid their "one time fee" of $2.85 for a single cover letter. Now they are hitting me with a $23.85 charge every month. Scam!!"
"I know I have already unsubscribed but found out one day that they still debit my account for $27.85 every month!!! $27.85 for a cover letter. Far out! I havent even used their service. I am going to file a complaint with the Office of Fair Trading. Yes, I agree they are a scam!
"
" They keep your credit card on record and keep charging you
I thought I was charged $24 for a cover letter. 4 months leter I find out they've been charging me the same amount every month. I end up paying a huge amount of many for a stupid cover letter."
"I paid to receive my cover letter with the understanding if I went past the 14 day trial it would be 4.99. My account was charged 23.99 and when I called them they then tried to negotiate a future 4.99! "
"I want to warn others and share my experience with the web page : www.cover-letter-now.com
The company name's BOLD LIMITED. Their full address is: City View Plaza II, Suite 6000, 48 Road 165
Guaynabo, PR 00968.
They offer a service of helping you to write a cover letter online with instant download as pdf.
The cover letters were no good after all, I could choose only a limited amount (max 4) of adjectives, and then there are lines written by an automatic software with my preferred adjectives, you can figure out it must be the same template for everyone...
I subscribed for 3 US dollar a month. After 14 days they charged me 19 Euro (=21,2 US dollar).
The title of the extra money charge from the "BOLD LIMITED Cover-Letter-Now.com" on my card is: BLD*CVRLTR ***-***-**** GUAYNABO PRI copy pasted it into the Google browser and it led me to other customers who also have had the same experience. It will appear on your card as well if you choose to subscribe to this webpage: cover-letter-now.com"
"According to my credit card statement, I was well within my two week cancellation. Maybe because they are a foreign company and it takes them awhile to process cancellations this has occurred. But that is not kosher in my book. The quality of cover letters was also subpar to other services I have used."
"This websites a scam. I did the 14 day trial, canceled my subscription and then they continued to bill me for it. I contacted them, and after being redirected twice and kicked out of the chat twice, I finally personally emailed them to let them know about the problem. They did not refund me and when I called my bank they told me this source is a scam and that I needed to get a new card because of past users corruption. Can’t trust anyone anymore, not even a curtesy email about any of my purchases or cancellations etc."
"Paid $20 for an unadvertised service. Can't get my money back. Customer service is awful. If you want to create your own resume and cover letter, have a friend look it over. "
"On February 18th, 2016 I used the service called Cover Letter Now for $1.95 as I needed a quick template. Having used them prior years back, I knew to go in immediately and cancel so I would not be billed further. I saw the $39.95 charge was drawn on my Bank account on March 7th. I called Cover Letter Now on March 7th. I spoke to a gentleman who said that it would be taken care of. It would take 3-5 business days for the credit to reflect on my statement. On March 16th, it still has not been rectified. I sent this email attached to the March 6th email I received from the company acknowledging me. "Your cancellation number is ***-***-****, and your subscription is set to expire on 3/31/2016. The above is from the email that was sent to me.
The gentleman also said my $39.95 was to be refunded. He stated it would take 3 to 5 days. I have not received a credit yet." I received an email on March 17th that it was under review and would be a few days for a response. On March 21st I received an emailed that my $39.95 would not be refunded as I did not cancel within the time frame. "
