"I don't think there was intentional fraud or anything, but I ordered lots of free stuff with what was to be free shipping. The shopping cart reflected this, and my credit card was to be charged $1.99(I also order a few small things).
My confirmation came- whereas I was shocked to see $792.81 was charged to my Visa...$790.82 for the "free shipping". In fact the very first item listed was "FREE Shipping".
I called asap(the following day). The gentleman was polite, explained the mistake(free items aren't free shipping- those 2 programs collided resulting in the error), and cancelled my order... and said my Vias would be credited a full refund. I also suggested their webmaster work on this problem.
I hold no grudge as they promptly fixed this mistake with no hassles, and again add that I don't believe CrazyApe intentionally tried to "rip" anyone off.
Give 'em a break folks- it's only human to make mistakes, and humans write the computer codes.

"They didn't honor their coupon. Cancelled the order and Didn't even contact me. Horrible company!! Never do business with them!"
"Avoid this seller. crazyape.com website advertises low-priced and/or free items but with high shipping charges (minimum $5.95 per ITEM). Placed two orders (one order number referenced above) with code for free shipping. Both orders contained one or more non-free items along with free items.
No restrictions were noted at time of order, and the orders were confirmed by return e-mail.
Consequentlly, seller cancelled both orders with no notice. One order shows in online account status with note "To be credited." The other order has disappeared entirely."
"Got an email cancelling my order and exposing my private email address to hundreds of people including potential spammers.
Will never order from this company again!"
"They - Crazyape offered free shipping on your entire order and had also on the site free items. No mention was made of restrictions. Both coupon codes went in and were accepted. I made one purchase and also ordered free software/videos. My order was confirmed and they accepted my paypal payment...the following day, the cancelled my order saying that you can't get free shipping on free items. This is not the first time from what I heard from others this company pulls these "stunts". Words out in the internet shopping community. No Crazyape for me."
"This is the email I sent them as their business ethics are questionable....
Can I just point out that you not only need a lesson in Customer Service, but in PRIVACY issues as well. In addition, your inappropriate usage of capital letters can easily be misconstrued as being rude to customers who have essentially done nothing wrong. In defense of everyone who ordered, such "promotions" are quite common, especially with seemingly unknown online businesses attempting to drum up both business and buzz.
The more frightening aspect of this is that some people, as you are aware, utilize Paypal for payment. Since that payment method is directly linked to one's email address I would be highly upset if I was a Paypal account holder. I am sure you are aware of the abilities of hackers.
I do not, under any circumstances, appreciate my email address spammed out to countless strangers. Such practices are not ethical in the online world of e-Commerce.
One would assume that you have some sort of email masking program in place, or one would hope so. I believe you have stumbled onto a PR nightmare at this point.
You need to get your business processes in order. There is nothing more annoying than a mom-and-pop shop buying a domain name and going into global business."
"Company offered promotional free items, accepted my free shipping code and sent me email confirmation that my order was received and the balance due was $0.00. They later sent me an email that said they could not fulfill this offer and that it had been canceled. The email they sent to me was also sent to many other people who had ordered and all of their email addresses were listed along with mine. This is a terrible business practice as it leads to spam. I will now have to change my email address! Will never order from this company again!"
"I placed an order with crazyape.com on Jan. 23 and received an Email confirmation of my order. On Jan. 24th I received three consecutive Emails from them. #1 stated that my order had been cancelled. #2 stated that I would be notified when my order shipped. #3 stated that my paypal account would be credited. This is a pretty shabby way of doing business. I still don't know what the heck is going on, but I do know that I will never order from them again."
"Ordered an extremly hard-to-find game on Sunday night and recieved it the following Wednesday. (USPS) The game came well packaged (sturdy box with "air bags") and the price was great...no complaints."
