"I tried to purchase 5 sheets of heat transfer paper. Found that merchant. Apparently in Florida. The web site is hideous, but I figured that I may give it a try. The price ($2.50 delivered for 5 sheets of papers) seemed fair. I went all the way through checkout, paid with a credit card, the total was $2.50. So far so good.
Shortly after I got an email with "the invoice" which listed $6 shipping charge on top of $2.50. Surprise surprise!
Well I wrote an email right away telling nicely that I do not want it anymore, please cancel the order. I also called later and left a voice-mail with the same message.
An hour later I got a call back from the guy. Boy was he rude. I explained that I did not agree to pay additional charge. He said it is in his ordering page "call to get a shipping quote". I said "No way" it does not work like that. You advertise the price - I see the total I have to pay - I pay the total.
See, I saw the total on the checkout page $2.50, I agreed to pay that much by pressing "Submit Order". I authorized you to charge that much. It is that simple. And BTW I think $6 is not a fair charge to ship 5 sheets of paper domestically. Long story short "just cancel it please". "Oh, it's already been shipped". "Well, it is not my problem. I want that order canceled due to hidden undisclosed charges". He mumbled something about cheap people, and hung up on me. Nice!
There was no a followup in email, but that does not matter. Rude guy with an attitude (his name I believe is Mark, the owner. The caller didn't introduced himself on the call). I am not wasting my time on such outfits I will refuse the order and charge-back my CC (I have saved all screen shots).
Avoid this merchants at all cost - CreativeTransfers.net.
P.S. Another "nice" fact. They claim to be the "TEXTILE HEAT TRANSFER SPECIALIST--SINCE 1993" but their domain is registered in February of 2005.
Fishy fishy everywhere. "
