"They're not paying designers and are very rude when you inquire about why they haven't made a payment. Unbelievable."
"If you are a freelance graphic designer or engage in graphic design as a part-time job, I strongly advise against using this website. They have a history of not paying on time. Despite their payment policy stating payment within 14 working days, they often fail to meet this commitment. Personally, I've experienced delays of up to 7 months in receiving payment.
When inquiring about payment, their initial response typically blames delays in their payment system, unable to provide a specific payment date. If pressed further, they may threaten to delete your account. Many designers have faced similar issues, with some losing access to their creative accounts and their hard-earned money.
Therefore, I urge caution and recommend avoiding this website for freelance graphic design work."
"Hi All Laborer Designers,
I worked on crowdspring before and that was a terrible mistake for me. If you new designer on on that platform they wait you for security process 1 month. Yes this is normal so many websites doing it. But after 1 moth again too there is no movement about payment. I texted a few times I guess they suspend my account now. If you check some forums and platforms you can see, there are so many topen tickets about this issue.
I consider crowdspring is scam platform.

"I'm on crowdsourcing market for years and I've worked with several websites and never had a single problem with payments, but Crowdspring simply don't pay designers. They are being paid by customers but don't pay creatives! I'm still waiting for the payment issued in december 2022 and I'm writing this in september 2023. When you send them a mail asking for reasons why you are not being paid you get a very rude reply menacing you, saying that complaints will lead you to more delays. They expect that designers work hard but they keep all the money."
"I wined two quit good projects in Crowdspring, but I didn't get payment from the website and inactive my account.Dear colleagues don't work with Crowdspring.
If you get any legal claim to Crowdspring let me know, I'm with you."
"I would suggest not working with Crowdspring. My experience was a poor one and similar to other reviews I've ready online. Crowdspring withheld payment from me.
"
"Maybe it's good for crowdspring clients, but for creatives like us, the designers of this site are really bad! Example: Very long payment! Also, many projects are abandoned for more than one year. Unclear site!
I talked to almost 15 creatives on Crowdspring, They have the same issue They don't give you money back as promised!
We are preparing to take legal action against this freelancing site on the company & The founder and CEO Ross Kimbarovsky. He is the main Culprit. We have all the proofs they did not pay creatives.
Let me know if you have the same experience, let me know."
"It is a lot of cheap free labor since only one person gets paid but a bunch do the work for you. So many creatives are not that motivated. The good ones leave because they won't take the abuse. Also, lots of names once submitted into a competition seem to suddenly get registered so the IP is not protected. Heard so many complaints from buyers and creatives. Don't trust them."
"They just don’t refund !!!! They write me to wait for 2-3 weeks and 6 weeks has left, no one answering emails! I have started the investigation with my bank to return the money back! Don’t use this site, they even have not good designers (I chose maximal package 1499$)"
"This is my second logo through your service and I have had a great experience each time."
"My experience with Crowdspring was awesome. I had several submissions to choose from but the first one was almost perfectly on spot. My whole team was impressed with the winning artist's professionalism and quality of work. This is my second time using Crowdspring and I would highly recommend them to everyone. I plan to use them on my next project!"
"I've used Crowdspring twice, once back in 2009 and then again this month. While the site has improved overall, I think it's telling that both experiences were simple, straightforward, and positive. I'm sure I'll use them again, though perhaps sooner than 11 years!
"
"This was our first experience with CROWDSPRING and it's been really, really positive. It's a great value. To think that as many as dozens of creative designers are working on your behalf with each designer investing as many as several hours. This collective effort cumulatively equals dozens of hours of creative work which would cost thousands of dollars not hundreds. Further, there is no sacrifice in quality. The creative designers at CROWDSPRING are incredibly talented people."
"Being a logo newbie, initially, I felt a little lost. The amount of information that is able to found on your website through guides and FAQ was invaluable to me. It helped me feel informed enough to get through the process without overloading me with too much information. There were 2 (I believe) instances were I wasn’t quite clear or still had questions. I used the chat feature. Ashlee (I may have the spelling incorrect- my apologies if I do) was prompt and helpful. Her approach with me was very conversational- an approach I greatly appreciated. I didn’t feel like she was “just doing her job”. She talked with me as if we were pals working out challenges together. She helped me get to the “finish line” confidently. She reiterated that I should feel comfortable to be very specific with designers with changes I would like to make. I do believe I was doing so prior to this, but prior to our conversation, I felt “bad” about it. I didn’t want to be perceived as a demanding client. I wanted the designers to feel appreciated for their creativity and their efforts, even if their design wasn’t my favorite. Creatives (I can say this because I too am a creative) can sometimes internalize “criticism”. Sometimes when our ideas are challenged we take offense. I didn’t want to come across that way. So after talking with Ashlee I realized that specific feedback saves them time and that they most likely appreciated the clear communication. Ashlee gave me the last “umph” to confidently go into the final wrap up armed with the knowledge of what exactly was going to happen and the timeline associated with the wrap-up!! There aren’t enough stars on your rating system to adequately “score” my interactions with the support team.
In one last instance, I sent Ashlee a chat late at night. I assumed she would see it in the morning. To my surprise, I got a response almost immediately. I didn’t expect to get help at 11 pm (ish). I was prepared (and expected) to wait until morning. That person (I have forgotten the name- so sorry) handled my request (to close my design period a day early) immediately.
Crowdspring, a job well done all around. From format, to process, to creatives, to support. Everyone has been wonderful. I have had a wonderful experience. As soon as I have the need for another service- I will be back!!"
"I spent over $1300 for a product design project and, in short, beware! They make all these claims like "money back guarantee" and "100% guaranteed" but then surreptitiously "recommend" you check the "assured reward" box so you waive the right to a refund. I waited 3 days and only received 1 draft that was amateur at best, they didn't even read my requirements, and the customer service didn't do anything. I wasted over $1300 with CrowdSpring and want to make sure you don't do the same, as there are plenty of design marketplaces where you can find much better, and way less expensive, freelancers to do your design work. Buyer Beware! "
