Subwoofer purchase

"Great experience! Love information Crutchfield provides on their products, plus view of manual and what’s included. I needed advice on what subwoofer I needed to match up with my older-model receiver, which doesn’t have a separate subwoofer output. It was expected to take a week, but received it in 2 days! Got emails confirming when shipped and when delivered! I the touches like the whimsical animations on the email and the environmentally-aware packaging, which shows the thoughtfulness employ in their business. And the Polk Subwoofer sounds fantastic! I will definitely go through Crutchfield again!"

Promised delivery by Wednesday, December 30... Now January 4th!!!

"Ordered an ES Sony Blu-Ray / SACD player on Saturday, December 26. Said it would ship on Monday, December 28 and be delivered on Wednesday, December 30th. I thought that was reasonable. Ended up shipping on Tuesday, December 29. I assumed it would be delivered a day later on Thursday, December 31. NOPE!

If Crutchfield just met their commitment to ship on Monday...

Consistently Great Prices, Consistently Rapid Shipping, Consistently Superb Customer Service

"I've been a Crutchfield customer for years . . . I'm on my second set of Klipsch speakers (an upgrade . . . I donated the first set), my third receiver (a Yamaha) and my umpteenth disk player. All is good, and their perpetual customer tech support can't be beat!"

Crutchfield's Mistakes Are Poorly Fixed

"Frustrating. The whole experience was frustrating and I won't buy from Crutchfield again.
I wanted to fix and update the speakers on my 2010 Prius. It was the first time I had replaced a speaker in my car, so I called their customer service to get a recommendation on what to buy. The customer service guy set me up with a pair of speakers, mounting bracket, and attachment cables, he even added them to my digital shopping cart for me. Fast-forward a week and while I'm installing my new speakers I discover that the speaker they sold me doesn't fit in the mounting bracket they sold me. I call their tech support line and the tech support guy says this is a super common problem with this type of speaker. He says it doesn't fit their mounting bracket and crutchfield doesn't have a different bracket they can send me which does fit. The only solution is for me to mail the old speakers back and exchange them for a different pair of speakers (which will cost me an additional $40 because the next speaker up that fit my needs was much more expensive).

This was 100% Crutchfield's fault, yet they offered me no remediation. No discount, no T-shirt, no priority shipping, they simply charged me more money. In fact, I figured they would at least expedite shipping for the exchange, but they didn't even do that... they waited two whole business days to ship the replacement via standard shipping! What a joke. Long story short, I ended up cancelling the exchange and bought the replacement speakers off Amazon (which saved me around $20). Incredibly disappointed with Critchfield.

"Everyone who has ever shopped with Crutchfield knows they are the whole package. From their master sheets sent out with your purchases to everyone of their staff, they are a top notch consumer electronics company to work with. Best customer service bar none.

"I ordered a JBL bar 9.1. I took down my old sound system, installed the JBL, went to calibrate and the right detachable speaker did not respond. After trying to calibrate few different times and trying different things, I called Crutchfield Tech Support. Eric answered the phone and was immediately attentive to my needs. After trying a few different things to get the speaker to work, Eric decided maybe the speakers needed to charge. Eric gave me his number to call him back the next day. After I called and he still couldn't get the bar to work he immediately began the return process. I should get the new bar in about 6 days. I think any other place would have made me return the defective one first the shipped the new one. Thank you Eric and Crutchfield!"
