With so many retailers from SonicElectronix, Best Buy, Amazon etc. choosing a retailer is sometimes more about the entire package vs. the lowest price. So when I start my research and shopping I always find that I just get more with Crutchfield from the lower price, the inclusion of a PDF installation manual (not that I usually need it and or with youtube these days do you but I still like to have them just in case) for car audio and free harnesses. Not to mention that they’re also in VA so I literally get my orders the next day. "Was excited to put a new stereo in my 2020 Tacoma. Put in my information and loved how everything was recommended for what was needed for the install. Shipping was very fast since I am on Guam. Got my products in 4 days. Got everything out of the box and started to connect all the wires and when it came the time to plug in everything the new stereo did not turn on. Took about 2-3 hours for the wiring and what not. Come to find out that my vehicle was not listed on the steering wheel interface that was needed for my install. The pins on my factory harness did not match the pins that came with the wiring harness. All in all please be sure that what harness are recommended for vehicles actually work cause in the end I was not able to complete my install and still do not have my new radio working. For my first experience using Crutchfield it was not the best. "

"Crutchfield was always the go to for seemless custom integration of aftermarket products. Easy to follow instructions and everything just fit to look original. Not so much anymore. instructions were spotty. Customer service, while very nice and really interested in helping, counldn't. Twice. Had to google some things to figure out what to do.
Also, final result leaves a lot to be desired. The dash kit didn't come with a trim ring to cover the 1/8" gap between the radio and the dash kit. I could see the metal side of radio through the gap. Per crutchfield this is the final expected result. Not acceptable. I ended up buying a $12 universal ring kit from amazon to finish the job right. Very disappointed in cruchfield. This is precisely the type of thing they were known for getting right and the main reason i shopped from crutchfield."
