"This was a two part order. Part 1 of the order shipped on time and was received. Part 2, (720606 CREATIVE LABS- SOUND BLASTER AUDIGY2 PLATINUM PCI CARD SB0240P), was backordered. Please also note that when I purchased this item on 11/22/2002, the online store stated it was in stock. Because I could no longer wait for the part, this backordered part was cancelled by me on the morning of 12/06/2002 via phone with a customer representative with Cruxworks. I then went to a retail store and purchased the item. When I arrived home the same customer rep with Cruxworks called me and told me she was sorry but the order had shipped. I told her that I had just purchased the item and she should have told me this when I called to cancel the order. Later the same day I received email stating the item had shipped and I promptly replied stating the order was cancelled that same morning and the shipment would be refused.(see attached email.)
Because it appears the shipment and order cancellation ‘just happened’ to occur at the same time. They took the item back but refused to reimburse shipping"

"I had satisfactory experience before with CruxWorks. When I checked prices for a gift at Pricegrabber.com March 3rd they still had a decent 4 out of 5 star rating. Unfortunately, I didn't read the most recent comments.
I received confirmation notice of warehouse pull Mar. 5th for shipping then nothing until Mar. 10; the same notice as the previous review.

I wish CruxWorks would REMOVE their shopping cart or place notice on their site, at least! Even now it appears to be a completely normal online store with working cart until you actually get to final Checkout at which point you receive the following message.

"I ordered a Lexar Media Firewire card reader, which I had to send back. I got my RMA quickly, and was instructed what to do, which I followed exactly. I sent merchandise back on 1/22/03 and it was received on 1/23/03 (UPS tracking) I have e-mailed them 4 times with NO RESPONSE. I called the 800# got a recording advising to e-mail and would have a quick answer. (THEY DO NOT ANSWER) I tried faxing info to them, NO ANSWER. Today is 3/7/03 and have not heard from them. You can not get them on the phone, fax doesn't answer, and they do NOT answer your e-mail as they suggest. I WILL NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY AGAIN!!! I suggest you do not either unless you have money to throw away.
