"The truck tailgate mat protector was obviously designed for earlier models that had a different tailgate style than my 2013 Ford truck. I followed the installation instructions exactly, and when all the holes were drilled, and screws inserted, the tailgate would not close. I had to trim approximately 1/4 to 3/8 of an inch off of the bottom of the mat to get the tailgate to close. That put the cutoff edge directly up to the screws holding the bottom of the mat onto the tailgate. The mat needs to be redesigned to fit newer models properly, or the instructions must be modified. Also, I was shorted one screw in the screw pack. Good product, but bad design and installation instructions."
