"When the Cummins tool show came to our town, I purchased two Ryobi cordless drill motors and one Ryobi combination kit and all of the batteries were bad. I complained to them about it and they could only provide me with one replacement battery. They took the bad batteries back and said that new batteries would be shipped to me. So I gave them my name and address and that was the last time I ever here from them. When I got home I tried the one replacement battery they gave me and one of the drill motors did not work as well. To date Cummins Industrial Tools have done nothing to correct the problem despite my repeated complaints. "
"I bought a 14-inch metal cutting chop saw from a "truck sale" of Cummins Induestrial Tools.
I used it very little over a period of two years, only enough to wear out one blade. Mid-way through the second blade, there was an electrical malfunction.
I call the customer service number on the tool handbook. It had been disconnected. I got on line and, let me tel you, they hide themselves well. Finally found an email link. Wrote them. So far, now reponse. Don't expect any.
The saw was a piece of Chinese crap. What it cut, though, it cut well. Pity that it is not higher quality and made to last. Pity that they done back up there products."
"I purchased an item that required assembly and the written instructions were lacking. I called customer service and they called me back almost immediately (no waiting on hold!). The lady I spoke with said she'd check and get back to me. A short time later, another person called back. She had personally gone out to their warehouse, examined an assembled version of my item, pulled a bag of parts out, spread them out, labeled them, and personally typed up detailed instructions and emailed them to me. I was able to assemble the product immediately. I couldn't believe it!
I have never encountered such a wonderful customer service experience. They certainly lost money dealing with me, but they care so much about customer satisfaction that they are willing to make the customer happy, even if it costs them! I didn't think companies like that existed anymore. They are the very best - and they are very rare. I couldn't recommend them more highly."
