"My only issue with Custom-Vinyl-Lettering is the consistency of the product I receive. I first used the company a little over a year ago to print vinyl letters and numbers for a company directory. The product I received was great and the service was quick. My problem came when I needed to add more to the directory. Every order since then has not matched the original. The letters appeared about 10% thinner and the spacing between the numbers was increased about threefold, meaning I had to cut out each number (for room numbers) and space it manually to make it match everything else on the directory. I contacted customer service and they suggested I reference the original order number and ask that any future orders be matched to it. On my next order I did this and the vinyl letters I received were exactly the same as my second order - so they were consistent for those two orders, they just didn't match the other 99% of the letters on the directory. I decided to just make do and use them anyway.
Fast forward to a few months ago when Custom-vinyl-lettering started using a new interface for the letter ordering. The letters I order need to be 0.75 inches tall. The new system accepts my input of 0.75 inches, but then randomly rounds either up or down to 0.7 or 0.8. I contacted customer service and they suggested I leave a note stating that I would like the letters to be 0.75 inches - so I did - and despite this the letters I received were 0.8 inches tall!
Basically, I'm frustrated with how hard it is to get a consistent product in terms of same height, same width, and same kerning as my original order. I found an old cutting plotter and bought my own vinyl and am now cutting my own letters - which is a pain, but is still less of a pain than all of the rigamarole I've been through. I was never offered a refund or exchange for these letters. "
