"Found exactly what I was looking for at a good price"

"I am a great fan and believer in the quality of Wusthof Classic knives. I have been purchasing Wusthof Classic knives exclusively since 1987. They are razor-sharp, and incredibly well-balanced; they feel like an extension of one's own hand and/ or arm. I have a brother, and he has become a master smoker of meats. Recently, when he brought over to me a generous helping of his smoked brisket, and knowing he did not have an expansive collection of knives, I decided to purchase a "brisket slicer" from Cutlery & More". It was on sale, at a greatly reduced price, versus Amazon.com. However it was not a Wusthof Classic, rather, it was a Wusthoff Gourmet (which is not a forged knife).

When the knife arrived, I couldn't believe I was astounded regarding how lengthy it was. It had a 14" blade, with a 5.5" handle, making it essentially, an almost 20" sword. However, given my belief in the absolutely high quality I have in Wusthof knives, I thought that if Wusthof believes the blade of a brisket knife needs to be 14" long, I trusted their judgment. However, my brother told me he was not smoking a full brisket, rather he was purchasing and smoking just "the flat".

After I gave this knife to my brother, I received negative feedback from him. First, he said it was too long for his knife block. Second, he said he couldn't extract the knife from the knife block because it sat below his kitchen cabinetry. I called Cutlery & More explaining my problem, and they said "no problem", and emailed me a return prepaid UPS mailing label to return the knife.

To replace it, I purchased from Cutlery & More a Wusthof Classic Ikon "Super Slicer" knife, which I believe is the best kitchen knife in the world, and gave that to my brother! He loves it!

Cutlery & More is a very good company with which to do business, in my opinion.
