"This is my first truly terrible online purchasing experience.
I ordered an Olympus W-10, a voice recorder with built in digital camera. They sent me out an Olympus VN-180, a product that is cheaper than the W-10 and doesn't have as many great features.
I called to report the error. I called the customer service line and could get no one. I then left a message. A couple days later another message. And another. I was getting nowhere but frustrated. I couldn't believe a company could exist without answering their messaging.
Finally I left a message telling them I was frustrated and thinking about filing with the Better Business Bureau. That got their attention. I got a long-winded answering machine message that still didn't make it clear how to solve this problem. Apparently the W-10 doesn't exist anymore...so they mailed me the other one without my consent?
Perhaps Digiexpo would eventually remedy this, but I don't have time to mail things back and forth and keep calling them until they pay attention. I just don't trust the company so I've decided to eat the $75 and just keep the wrong product. Everytime I use it, I'll remember...it's good to go with online companies you KNOW.

Purchase arrived on 5/2/02.
One problem though. Never received any notification of processing or shipment. Have to call customer service confirm my order is actually being shipped.
