"Good prices and good quality equipment.I purchased a Cannon EOS Rebel camera as a Christmas gift for my parents. They took the camera out of the box and tested it out for a couple of hours and then decided it was not for them – too technical for what they wanted. I initially had some difficulty returning it because I did not have all the original packaging and was going to be charged a large fee. After discussing the matter with the director of customer service they were able to give me a full refund. Very pleased with the customer service department. If there's any possibility that you may return an item just be sure to save all the original packaging and you should not have a problem. I would order from them again. "

"I recently purchased a Nikon D5100 from DIY. I was skeptical at first because their prices were so low. I thought they were a scam but searching the web I found out the company was legit so I went ahead and bought my camera. It did not come in the retail Nikon box but rather a white cardboard box so I thought something fishy. I called Nikon directly and had them check the serial number to see if it was a legitimate one and it was good as well as the lens. Nikon registered my serial numbers. I was still skeptical so I looked at the EXIF data to see how many actuations were shot on this camera from the 1st picture I took. it was around 300 which is used for testing. This camera is in every way new. I received my camera quicker than expected too and they even gave a free 2nd battery. "just receive my Panasonic HDC-HS900 Camcorder with a ugly box which is not manufacturers box. I am not sure this is an used one or refurbished one. their website claim it is a NEW one with 1 year US Warranty. But it is not. I will call and negotiate with them request an return anyway. I am very displeasure with what they did. as I can see their review here, they use the same way for all their customer, so be careful before doing business with this re-seller.

"The Nikon 50mm lens I bought was about $15 cheaper than the next reputable dealer so I took a chance with this seller. The lens came without the manufacturers box and none of the original packaging. It could have been refurbished or used for all I know. The website did not disclose this information. The item description specifically said the lens was new. I called to make a return and the representative said the lens was taken from a kit. I will not buy from them again and I think it is dishonest to publish an item as new when it is not factory sealed with original packaging.

UPDATE: Upon submittal of this review, I received a call from a representative from DIYMicro who wanted to amend the situation. He explained that this occurrence with the lens was not typical of the products they sell and they require all items shipped to be new from their suppliers. They offered me a 5 years warranty on the 50mm lens that I will buy to replace the one I returned and gave me a discount coupon for my next purchase. I have revised my rating of them as this care in customer service has improved my impression of the company. "
