"This company appears to do business as a Walmart marketplace seller using the alias Direct Home Supplies. They don't ship all items, do not respond to any communication from customers, and exploit Walmart's awful policies to illegitimately keep your money. To put it simply, they are crooks. There is no safe way to do business with them! "
"I tried to place an order with them, which would have saved us a lot of money, using our credit card. I repeatedly got a strange pop-up error message from them regardless of credit card. I got the impression that they wanted me to use PayPal instead. Regardless, I Google Earthed their "contact us" warehouse address of 399 Maplewood Ave, Ambridge, PA 15003 and was startled to find a dilapidated storefront (no number on it) or no building at all as 399 was pegged by Google Earth as the intersection. There is a dental office directly across the street from this dilapidated building at 398 Maplewood. It is certainly nothing that you could call a warehouse! Coupled with some of the other reviews, I would not recommend dealing with this company given my experience in simply attempting to order and what I found on Google Earth. Something is just not right despite the exceptionally-nice website. Prices seemed too good to be true!"

My experience parallels that of the last three commenters exactly. I never received my product and never received a response to any of multiple e-mails and voice mails. Fortunately, I was able to recover my money by filing a claim with PayPal. The process took a few weeks to play out but was easy because Direct Hardwoods didn't respond to PayPal, either, resulting in a default decision in my favor. Note that if you spend less than $2,500, PayPal's claim process is a lot slower.
I don't know what the problem is with Direct Hardwoods. All I know is that there is a problem, and it is a big one. Take your business elsewhere."
"Please do not ever buy from them. Don't fall for the cheap price, it's not worth the trouble of having no idea what is going on with your order. This place has ZERO customer service. They seriously can't be reached. All you will get is an order confirmation after your purchase, thats it. I ordered this floor on 6/12/13 I still have not received it. I have been trying to contact them for the last three weeks daily by phone and email and I have never had any messages returned. I've never heard of a company that doesnt even answer their phone. This is an extremely unproffesional company. As a contractor I now have a job waiting in limbo on just this floor, and a customer who asks daily when this floor will be in to which I have no reasonable response due to directhardwoods non existant customer service. This has been an extremely frustrating experience. Please look elsewhere for flooring."
"I placed an order about a month ago and have yet to receive it. I have made numerous calls and emails and have yet to receive a response. All I get is an answering machine. I'm starting to get nervous and I am very frustrated. The custom service is terrible, how do they not even return a call or email. They don't even answer the phone."
"These guys are absolutely terrible to do business with. They had the best price but that was the only benefit to using them. I had no idea when my product was arriving, then finally it just showed up three weeks after i ordered it. no call, no email, nothing. I called and emailed the company several times for an eta, all my communications when unanswered. The contact guy Mike, once he gets your money you will never hear from him again. I had several questions wanted to purchase more accessories and he never returned any of my emails or calls after the floor order was placed. As a third party broker, i would never use them again regardless of price. These people have no idea what they're doing or what customer service is all about."
"I ordered Mullican St Andrews Oak Gunstock, 3 and 5" planks, about 550 Sq ft. Mike at Direct Hardwood was helpful answered all the questions about the product and shipping. I ordered on 3/21/2012. The hardwood was deliverdd on 4/11/2012, 21 days later. When I received the order detail via the email, the details were ALL wrong. I telephoned them promptly and was told by Mike that, he has placed a correct order. But getting to email me a corrected order detail, so I would have a leg to stand on, if the wrong product was delivered, was less than optimal. It warranted 3 emails and and 2 phone calls. I continued to receive email inquiry about my review of product with the wrong product detail and just made me very concerned.
The shipping charges and shipping and delivery were comprehensive. The delivery person delivered the pellet curbside and in fact dropped it inside the garage. The Direct Hardwood does not nickle and dime you with shipping and delivery charges, compared to many other equally competitive online retailers, who tack on $75-100 each, for curb side lift delivery, dropping to garage, etc. Only 2 planks are damaged slightly from one box. I also, ordered, ancillary products like underlayment and molding. They were not shipped with the hardwood. I was not informed of the separate shipment.These have NOT arrived after 4 weeks of ordering. I am awaiting their arrival to schedule installation. The communication/ inquiry with DHW, regarding the delivery status of these molding and underlayment, was less than optimal. The emails and phone calls were NOT returned promptly. I donot have a tracking number to check on the status of this and have to take the word of Mike @ DHW, that it will arrive at the end of this week( 4/17/2012).
Mullicans St Andrews Oak Gunstock looks beautiful with consistent quality and finish in all the planks. I decided to go with this particular product to match the existing floors in the house. I am very satisfied with the product. I very pleased to to note Mullicans sources all their wood( in this line of product) here in USA and are milled locally in a responsible way and they are FSC certified and Appalachian hardwood, certifed sustainable."

"This order was for 3 Gallons of Duraseal Polyurathane. I received the shipment on time in an original Duraseal box. The box turned out to be not suitable for shipment via UPS or Fedex Ground. All 3 cans in the box were heavily dented. I am not sure if the cans were dented before they were shipped or the dents occurred during shipment. I hope the product is OK."
