"I purchased a pair of Ray Ban sunglasses as a Christmas present on 12/12/2011. Ample time before Christmas to receive them. On about 12/16 I called, wondering why my glasses hadn't been shipped out yet. I was told that they were on back order from the warehouse and they would be there that day or the next and promptly shipped out to me. A few days later I called again and was told the exact same thing. 12/21 I called to cancel my order because I felt like I was given the run around and talked to a woman named Sara. She was friendly and seemingly helpful. Realizing how disappointed I was with the company as a whole, she offered to try and get my order to me by Christmas free of charge. Today when I called to to check on whether that would happen or not I talked to a man, who claimed to be the business owner, and he told me that he had the glasses in his possession and that I could still purchase them if I wanted them. When I informed him of the conversation I had with Sara the previous day, he said that there was no way that would happen and that "nothing in life is free". I had a lengthy conversation with him during which he insulted me by offering me $7 off the price, claiming that it was the best he could do. We agreed that if the roles were reversed, he would not have been happy in my position. To say that his efforts to right his wrongs were 'minimal' would be very generous on my part.
In the end, even though it will cost me about $50 more, I will be making my purchase at a local mall. The savings that I would have gotten just wasn't worth the headache and stress of trying to run down my order for 11 days. This experience has been by far the worst in my life as far as customer service is concerned. They tried to explain to me that they just couldn't take a loss on the sunglasses, as I explained to them that when a business fails in a major way, sometimes they do. "
