"I WAS WITH NETFLIX FOR 2 YEARS AND LOVED IT ONLY CHANGED BECAUSE OF PRICE WHAT A MISTAKE! SOME MOVIES TAKE 10 DAYS TO ARRIVE ONCE THEIR SITE SAYS THEY MAILED THEM, THIS HAPPENS MOST OF THE TIME. IF YOU EMAIL THEM TO MANY TIME ABOUT THE PROBLEM THEM STOP RESPONDING TO EMAILS AND WONT TALK TO YOU WHEN YOU CALL THEY SAY YOU HAVE TO EMAIL YOUR COMPLAINTS. CANT WAIT TILL YEAR CONTRACT IS OVER!!! I AM WARNING ALL MY FRIENDS TO STAY AWAY."
"I am another extremely dissatisfied customer. This is beyond poor service - the majority of us are experiencing FRAUD. They claim "next day" delivery and "biggest selection." False, false. They are charging customers $25 for movies Intelliflix lost (there is no WAY the post office is losing that many movies).
Fraud.
I would like to start a class action suit. Would anyone be willing to help me in this endeavor?
Thank you for your time."
"I've been with Intelliflix for 3 months now, and for their price/selection, they are well worth it. I've never had a problem with missing shipments described below. I did have a problem once (my account was essentially inactive - my own fault) - I emailed the president of the company directly, and within a day he responded and help me fix the problem.
Good company! I'd recommend to a friend."
"Could not agree with cwhill1 more. This company is billing me for a supposedly lost DVD which I have no record of receiving. They have sent numerous notifications of receipt for the same DVD. Appears to be a poorly managed company. Stay away from these types."
"This is a horrible company. Stay away!! I just got a $25 charge on my credit card for a dvd that I reported lost back a year ago with this DVDbarn. I had cancelled this service more than 8 months ago and now they decide to charge me for a lost dvd. You have to email them a reason for any dvd's that they do not receive back. You can not just report it on their website by clicking lost or broken etc. They claim to have this in their terms but it does not show you have to email them a reason common sense would tell you that this should be specifically stated. I don't care how cheap they are. They take a long time to send and receive dvds much worse than Netflix and blockbuster which I have used both now for more than a year at a time. Again do not fall for their cheap fees. Contact # for Intelliflix/DVDbard is ***-***-****."
"Well, it sounds like the biggest complaint people are having is when they lose a movie. I lost a movie about two weeks ago. Well, I didn;t lose it, I put it in the mail and they never received it. I emailed their support address and they said they would look into it. About two days later I got a message that they still hadn't received it. I was worried because I actually read the terms and conditions and I knew that they could charge me $25 for it.
But, I guess that they looked at my account and saw that this was the first one because they told me I wouldn't charged. That's a relief!
That was the only problem I had. I get all my movies. And yeah, I wish I always got my first choice, but those movies are the most popular ones, that's why I have a queue, right?
So, despite what a couple of people on here have said, I think Intelliflix is great, and you can't beat their price with a stick!!

"I am a movie-holic and have been a member of 2 other "big name" dvd clubs and have NEVER had an issue with them, So decided to try intelliflix because 6 movie's (between the other two company's) was just not enough. This company is a ripoff, It took 3 weeks to get the first dvd's when they arrived they were so scratched that they were unplayable. After clearing my movie queue and recieving there last "recieved notification" I cancelled my account 1 week later they sent me a notification that I still had a dvd and would be charged $25 to replace it. I e-mailed them and they sent me a canned message saying any dvd's still out when I cancelled would be charged. I e-mailed them again and told them I did not have any movies out. I never recieved a reply. On 5-05 I was charged $25 for the "missing" dvd. I E-mailed them AGAIN this time attaching a copy of my "recieved movie" notice. They sent me back another canned message restating there "Customer Agreement" Stating that all missing dvd's were subject to a $25 charge 14 days after account cancellation. I figured that I would have to "eat" the $25 charge. Here it is 6-02 and I have 2 more $25 charges for the same movie (on the same day). I found their corp. number at the BBB and called. I explained what happened and the person who answered said they could not handle any service issues, so I asked "Whats the number for service" they then told me there is no number, all service issues are handled through e-mail. HA HA verry funny NOT!
If you want good service go through one of the other internet movie clubs not Intelliflix. "
"In my opinion, I am glad that I joined Intelliflix. Dollar-for-dollar, I believe it is the best online dvd rental available. The collection is equivalent to that of Blockbuster or Netflix as is shipping time for me. Since Intelliflix is a lot cheaper, less than $9.50/month if you sign up with the SuperPass for a year, I consider it to be the best deal available ($17/month with no commitment). I once had a lost dvd several months ago but I was not charged for it. The issue was resolved within 2 weeks. I have nothing but things to say about shipping times, selection, customer service, or anything else regarding Intelliflix."
"I had been a member of dvdbarn for years. They were purchased by intelliflix awhile ago. before intelliflix it was a good company with a good value, afterwards this has been nothing but a nightmare. I purchased the 1 year special. I asked if I could purchase a partial of the premium special at the discounted rate as I just wanted to try it out. I was then upgraded to a full year of the premium at the premium price. I emailed again and said i didnt want that and only wanted the standard if a mix/match couldnt be done for that 1 year. I was then charged for another year of service. I told them I didnt want that or the other one and wanted to be cancelled. It took many emails and i was then refunded for only the standard. I complained numerous times about wanting to completely cancel and I never received any movies for weeks and weeks for the final days of a current month i was in. I wasnt shipped a movie for weeks on end! I threatened to report the company and received a free month + the movies I rented a long time ago. After that month I received free I was charged a higher rate than any of the services I had ever purchased or inquired about for the next month (even though I wanted to be cancelled) I found the phone number and address at bbb.com and called them up. I was promised a refund and I am still awaiting it...
Call them with any complaints you may have and report them to the bbb if you go through anything like I did. This is the phone number that aparently reaches corporate office :-)

" I get movies in 1-2 days. For the price, it's the best bargain out these."
"This rental outlet is a joke. They don't have most of the movies they list. They take about two to three weeks for a single movie turnover. they send broken and unplayablr disc just to waste your time. After I quit, they charged me for an extra month. My friend says they will always claim you have one last disc out when you leave, guess what, another $25.
I have joined many rental services over the years, this is the very worst by far. Don't even bother."
"I sign up for service back in Sept. 2004 with their preminum service for $24.95 a month. After three weeks of signing up I didn't receive anything from them even though they had made such wonderful promises online of how fast they can deliver your DVD. So I wrote them an email to have my account cancel and to see why does it take so long to for them to send anything out. I got a reply back saying that they were sorry and they will give me an extension on my account and will cancel after that account ended. After a few emails exchange with them I finally got my first set of DVD's. Now this this first set of DVD came over a month after I had sign up with them.
Well after a few days I send all those DVD back and ask to have my account cancel. Well guess what I now notice they have continued to charge my credit card and yet NO movies were ever send out at all. I have written over 20 emails to them without any result and you can't call them because they don't have a mumber to call.
I'm in the process of disputing it with my credit card company and going through the BBB for help in getting my money back.
In writting this I hope that other will not made the same mistake that I do. Their service is horrible slow. They can take up to three weeks to register that you had send back their DVD movies. Therefore at best you will get about 3 DVD movies per month due to the long process. Their customer service (wait, what customer service?) they don't have any.
So STAY AWAY FROM DVDBARN.COM
Khanh"
"This was one of the worse experiences I've ever had with a business. Their site says that new customers first dvds will ship in 24-48 hours. Their selection is not as good as they claim. They skipped over 30 dvds in my list to get ones that were available now. I was on the 3 out at a time plan. My first two didn't ship for 3 days and they waited an additional 4 to send my third one. It was the 20th, a full ten days after I joined before I received any dvds. I live in California, the dvds were coming from Arizona. It should not have taken that long. There is no phone number listed to contact them all contact is by e-mail only. I e-mailed several times. They consistently gave me answer that did not address my concerns. In fact, they completely ignored important parts of my e-mails and just repeated stuff to me that can be found on their site. They say they guarantee faster shipping than Netflix. As a member of Netflix this is not true. Most of the claims they make on their site to reel customers in they are incapable of providing. They often claimed in e-mails that they are going through restructuring and that these problems would only be temporary. I did an internet search and found out that these temporary problems had been going on since June and many people had experienced what I had. The fastest thing they did was to charge my credit card the day I joined. I demanded my money back and they say due to some user agreement I wasn't entitled. I told them that they broke their agreement first by not doing providing the service they claim they can. At this time I had still not received any dvds, but they were nice enough to tell me they would charge me $25 per dvd if they didn't get them back. I went to the BBB to file a complaint and found the phone number to the company listed with their main address. I called and demanded my money back, which I got. I sent the movies back as soon as they showed up without watching them as I said I would. They did not show them as being received for 6 days. So, it took 16 days to receive movies from them and for them to get them back and I didn't even get to watch them. I was prepared to call my credit card company and cancel my card and have a new one sent so they couldn't claim they never got the movies and charge me for them. I think it helped that I e-mailed them and let them know they were on their way and I had personally handed them to the manager at the post office as witness to the fact they had been returned. This company is a class action suit just waiting to happen. They should close down until they have their act together. It's ridiculous that this should be going on for over 6 months. I'm surprised they have any customers left. I wish I had researched them before joining. They don't have a good rating on the bbb either. Just thinking about them makes me angry."
"Signed up for their service because they were the cheapest ($12.95).
However, I soon found out why...
So far I am about 2/3 into my month subscription and I have only received 3 DVDs (my initial batch). Very slow shipping/processing.
Also, the processing centers must be spread thin. I live in Los Angeles, CA... a pretty big metropolitan center, but the distribution center that I am having DVDs sent from is in Arizona... what is up with that?
I emailed their Customer Support, but got a canned response. Very dissatisfied."
"The shipping delays are incredible. You send back your DVD and they don't acknowledge receiving them until at least a week past the time you mailed it.
Their customer service is very poor. You email them specific questions and complaints and they just send you back a generic answer that does not address the specifics of your questions.
They advertise themselves as having lots of varied DVDs, but if you put these rare DVDs in your queue, you'll notice that they just sit there in your queue forever and are never sent.
I've tried many DVD rental companies including Netflix and Greencine. DVDbarn is the cheapest and the worst. You'd be making a big mistake if you didn't spend $5.00 more a month to join a more reputable company. Join DVDbarn and you'll rarely see a DVD in your mailbox, guaranteed."
