"The DVD I wanted was $5.00 and they initially said $2.50 for domestic shipping. Once I got to the final page they were trying to tack on another $45 for international shipping. This is when I figured out they were in Pakistan and this was a scam. AVOID THEM. "

"Avoid. DVdplanet.com cancelled my purchase without attempting to contact me first. Did not offer to honor my purchase, simply canceled it. Claimed it was due to credit approval but nothing was sent to me regarding this until it was canceled. Credit card says there were no issues."
"Looked all over the place for a certain DVD title. They had it listed but as "Backordered" so I decided to order the DVD, plus a couple other DVDs. I could have gotten the other DVDs cheaper elsewhere, but since they said they could get the one I really wanted I decided to do all my business with them.
Next day I got an e-mail saying the DVD has been discontinue and would not be available to ship. No big deal, things happen, they probably wouldn't realize this until they try to buy it from a vendor. I'm disappointed yes, but I understand.
I continue my search, and DVDplanet comes up again. They know they cant get that DVD now, so why is it still on their site? I email them asking that very question. My only response is my issue has been forwarded for further review, and I would get an answer within 7 days.
17 days later no response, and the DVD is still listed. I believe they are using this tactic to get people to buy from them when they have no ability to fill the order."

E-mailed support to find out what happened to my order, and never received a response. Will never place an order with them again, no matter how good the deal."

Order was not shipped in time. Called in and cancelled order with live Customer service.
Later got notification that order was shipped (one week later).
Called in and was advised to refuse shipment. Packages had been refused. Still no credit as of date. USPS tracking showed packages had been received by them on 06/20. Their customer service emailed me back (07/01) indicating:

"Ordered 17 dvds on Feb 13, 2003. I got the confirmation afterwards. The next day the order was denied due to insuficient funds on my PayPal card. I didnt have time to cancel this order cause I was about to leave for the long weekend which was presidents day. So i then cancelled the order on Feb. 23, 2003. Later I got an email saying that I cannot cancel because the transaction went through on the 23rd and they said they sent the product already. I checked PayPal and saw that the process didnt go through since there still insuficient funds, so Im thinking they might have just maid a small mistake. 2 days later they charged me again for the same amount, and this time it went through. So it was a lie then when they told me that it went through only to find out they were still trying. So I emailed and told them about what they said to me was not true, I did not get any email after this. But i did wait still. Again a day later I got an email saying that the product was on its way. I said WTF!?!? They later said that an automated program had already tried again but it seems like they dont have an idea of the fact that it got denied. If they would have checked it themselves, this wouldnt be a problem. But they did promise for a full refund, I will today return the items i ordered to them. Lets see what happens. In the future, im not sure if i'll be able to order from them again. They seem to be a respectful company, but the chances of me ordering is too slim. Too bad.
update: returned the item, and i sent an email after they refunded my money. but the problem is that they did not refunded the full amount, the shipping charges were not refunded after i was told by their supervisor Stephanie "I will authorize a complete refund when the returns department has the package." It has been a week, and I have yet to receive any emails back from her. These guys are horrible i tell ya. I would definately NOT do business with these guys EVER again!"
"Placed an order on the 15th. Recieved 3 email on the 15th: Order confirmation, an Acknowlegement, and an invoice showing they had charged my card. I received a second Acknowlegement that they had shipped on the 18th, about an hour after I received the order. They must be pretty speedy, if they managed to go back in time. Thumbs up, I got what I ordered at a better price that I found elsewhere. They used USPS Priority Mail. That went just fine."
