"Find out crazy memory deal on internet ($11.00 for 128MB SDRAM). Placed order in the morning by Express shipping, Fedex delivery the package on the next day afternoon. (Kind kidding me, extreme fast Shipping!) But the memory is not work in my system. Contacted customer service, and fill out the online exchange request, got reply in the next day, then i find out the memory is not compatible with my motherboard. RMA tech people is kind helpful, he help me find out the correct memory for my system-"$50 dollar cheaper than order from Dell". Return the parts and get the replacment back less in 10days.

I placed an online order for a retail version of the PowerColor RADEON 9600 SE (128MB DDR 8X AGP DUAL W/TV/DVI). After my order, I received immediate notification (automated) of the order placed which stated, "Your Credit Card has not been charged at this time, we will process your order within 24~48 hours." First off, that was a lie... My credit card was charged the very day of the order and states so on my bill.

After 2-3 days, I hadn't heard anything and began sending inquiries about the status of the order. NO REPLIES. I attempted to call them. The phone rang and rang... apparently in a never-ending loop that finally disconnected me. I became increasingly concerned and became aware of this website. I saw the extremely low rating for DVCentury.com (also know as RICH PACIFIC INC. of WALNUT, CA when charged to my credit card.) and took the time to review many of the other customer experiences.

10 days later, I still have not received anything and I have not received any updates or responses from DV Century. All attempts to contact them by phone, end the same as described above. I have submitted a request to my credit card company to investigate this order.

I believe many of the positive responses on this rating site regarding DV Century may in fact be entries by the owners/employees of DV Century to 'try' to inflate it's already low score and buy them time to 'run away with our money'. With it being the holidays, perhaps they are just buying time to make as much as they can before they close everything down (or they are forcibly closed down.)

I pray more people read these ratings and pass on the information, so that other consumers can make an educated decision before making a purchase with DV Century.

Just got my first reply from DV Century since my order on Nov 18th. Note, this is AFTER I contacted my credit card company. Check it out:

"Dear customer:
Thank you for shopping with D.V.Century.
Your order #60875 From D.V.Century has been Shipped from our warehouse.
Please retain this email for your records.
You should receive your package in next 2-7 business days."

It seems they are in the business of restocking fees and irritating their customers. Apparently enough people buy from them that they can afford to lose most if not all of them. While they charge their customers $10 for 2-4 days shipping, they are paying about $3 for 2-7 day shipping. Then after the customer realizes it is a junk product, the customer returns the item and are charged a 15% stocking fee, a 25% refusal fee, and/or a 10% cancellation fee. At the same time, DV Century receives the product back, only to delay shipping to yet another, soon-to-be-disgruntled customer. How much money can you make from ONE product?? Wow... now I see how they make their money: Profit off another's misery and expense!! Forget about the idea of getting a quality product in exchange for your hard-earned money. Buyers beware! Educate others so they may not make the same mistakes as us.

"This purchase was (still is) absolutely horrid. I have built and worked on computers (mostly my own) for over a decade now and bought several dozen pieces over the internet. Never has a company been so incompetent, rude, and undeserving of my business. I ordered a video card, and 4 days after my order, money was removed from my bank account. 4 weeks later, the video card has not showed up, I don't even have the tracking number I was promised (because I paid for fedex shipping), and now their refund is taking a week to process. Their customer service department, which seems to consist of one person, has been no help whatsoever. DO NOT BUY HERE!"

"I will never order from them again. Bad service, item wasnt in stock was offered a substitute it wasnt shipped and I'm still trying to get my money refunded.

Placing my order on 10/17, on the 24th learning the item was out of stock and being offered a substitute, on 11/7 I inquired the status of my order and it hadnt been shipped so I cancelled it. After emailing asking the status of my refund 4 times and getting told they would let me know I still havent received my refund as of 12/8

2 months and no refund, after contacting the BBB and FTC

"I odered 256 mb of pc 2100 ram and got 3 weeks later and it was bad (would not work). I called them got a rma # sent package oof. 1 month after mailing never heard anything. I called there computer was down for a week. So I called another day i was not in there computer. Finaly found me 1 week later and did nothing, no email, phone call nothing. I payed shipping to mail back $10.00. Product was $30.00. There was an service charge oof $10.oo to put money back on my credit card. So I guess I lost. WILL NEVER DO BUSSINESS WITH THEM AGAIN. IF I WERE YOU I WOILD NOT ALSO. STAY AWAY FROM THEM RIPP OFF"

" We ordered fireware card (VIA 4-Ports (3+1) FireWire 1394 PCI Card W/Software ) and cable from this store and the item arrived us on time, as promised. They are brand new and work great. We are very much happy with it.

"As a freelance computer builder I search for the best deals on parts. DV Century had the best deal for the video card I wanted BUT After 12 days I called the company wondering what was going on. It was on back order and they didn't have the courtesy of letting me know this by email or any means. I'm away from home alot through the week so I was calling home checking if it had arrived or if any corespondence was received from DVCentury. Nothing. Now 5 days after I canceled the order I still have not received a credit to my account and had to call again for any kind of comfirmation email to be sent again. The cost of the video card was $42. Also phone conversations included 10 minute wait times on my dime! I'll be steering clear of DVCentury in the future. Suggest you do the same."

"I ordered a video card from them and 2 days later they sent me an email stating that they were out of the card and asked if I would like to upgrade to a retail version of the card, I said no that I wanted a refund.

I have emailed them daily now for 2 weeks, and they still have not replied nor refunded my money.

Do not order from this so called company!!!!!!!

UPDATE:

It has been over a month now and still no refund.
DVCENTURY IS A SCAM.

"A horrible experience! Do not order from these people. I had an order placed for two weeks, never received a shipping confirmation and emailed their customer service several times over a period of 6 days and never received a response.
I finally called the company asking why my product had not been received on time and they told me that the OEM version of my Radeon 9600Pro was on backorder and offered me the retail version which is extra money. Had I not called them I never would have received the product at all and they would have charged me.
This is bait and switch, plain and simple. They refused to give me the retail version at no extra cost even though the product was not listed as back ordered when I placed the order and TO THIS DAY IS NOT LABELED AS SUCH.

"extremely slow or no response to emails.

company did not contact me to inform of back order on item i ordered,after 3 days and no shipping information email i contacted them and found out about back order.

"Worst experience I’ve ever had when buying something online. There was a problem with the address I had type when placing the order which had been my mistake. I called their costumer service to have it fixed 3 times in 3 different days and each time they ignored and did absolutely nothing. It goes in one ear and out the other. The fourth time I called to just cancel the order and they again ignored it and even after having asked that the order be cancelled I get an email saying that they are out of stock and if I would like to purchase the retail version (I had ordered the OEM). Their costumer service seems to ignore what ever I say. It has been almost 2 weeks since I placed the order am still dealing with their costumer service. I strongly discourage anyone from doing business with this people."

"I bought memory from them and it was bad. I sent the memory back on 8-28-03 and still have not had this problem resolved. Since I sent the memory back I have called DVcentury every week. They always say they "need to check their database and they will call me back". Till this day I have never received a call from them. This is a very poorly ran company and I will never take my business to them again."
