"I tried to purchase a D5000 camera from Daily Deal Digital and received an email that looked a little funny. It was a generic email that was supposed to be a receipt. So I was a little uneasy with it. I emailed their customer service center to get my tracking number and it turns out I got a message saying the email did not go through. I called their number during normal hours and got a recording saying to call back during normal business hours and if I was calling during normal business hours to email their support team. I received an email 6 days after the initial transaction which was a blank page. I then got a call from someone and they tried to up sell me batteries, memory cards, and lenses. The price was $580 when I "bought" the product. I then called my credit card company to stop the transaction and they told my my transaction was still pending and was $750. I highly suggest not to even bother with this company. They are crooks and need to be shut down. "

"In Jan 2010 I attempted to take advantage of a low cost deal offered by this vendor listed on NexTag on a Nikon D90 camera w/lens package.
The vendor responded to my order by requesting I contact them. Knowing ahead of time they would likely try to "upsell" me with extra add-ons (memory cards and batteries) I called, but politely refused to all such upsell offers. The salesman then thanked me for my order and I received an email saying my order had been "successfully processed" and to wait for a confirmation email indicating the product had shipped.
Sadly that subsequent email NEVER came. After three weeks of waiting around I emailed them multiple times (Jan 22 & Jan 26) asking about the status of the order (I referred to the original order number and everything). In an effort to give them the benefit of the doubt, I EVEN requested that they at least give me the courtesy of contacting me if they "could not process my order" so that I could take my business elsewhere if needed. Deep down I suspected they were not going to process my order if they were not making any money off me. If so that's fine. Just tell me the "order is cancelled" or whatever, and I could happily shop elsewhere.
What did I get in response to my emails? No reply. I then called their phone number listed on website and selected their customer service extension to directly inquire. After I gave them my order number, they put me "on hold" and the line went dead. I called back two more times and each time, the human being who answered the phone answered by saying "hold on a minute", put me "on hold" and the line went dead each time. Keep in mind that I gave them my order number. If they look up that order number, they can see my phone number on there and call me back to give me the status on my order. Do you think they wound up doing that? Nope!
Luckily for me, I noticed the original charges never showed up on my credit card statements, so fortunately I am not out of any money.
Although I am sure once this negative review appears some "representative from Daily Deal Digital" will attempt reply to this review online with some rehashed excuse as to why my order never got processed, but just keep in mind I gave this vendor multiple opportunities (via email and via phone) to contact me if there was a problem with my order and they NEVER DID! In fact I have no doubt in my mind they NEVER WILL (except to "save their reputation" perhaps in response to this negative review). If they at least gave me the courtesy of answering my inquiries (even if the answer was to tell me my order would not be processed after all), then I would be disappointed but satisfied, and I wouldn't even be writing this negative review in the first place.
I am happy to update and revise this very negative review (I am not the kind of person to post negative reviews just to be mean or on a whim), if they wind up processing my order after all and DELIVERING THE PRODUCT I ORDERED at the original price I placed the order for, but I am not counting on it.
A word to the wise. If you are looking for the cheapest deal, then *DO NOT* shop from this vendor, because they will try to "make up the difference" by selling you other add-ons you don't really need. And if you make the mistake of refusing all their upsell offers (meaning they are not making any money off of your order), they will NEVER process your order to completion anyway.

I learned that what this really was about was DailyDealDigital wanted to overcharge me for a lense, filter, battery, etc. I told him I just wanted the camera body. He said "enjoy it" and hung up. "I placed an order for a Nikon D-300, sb900 flash and a Nikon 18-200 Lens. I was contacted by a man named Bernard and I was asked to switch my charge from Amex to Visa or Mastercard, because they supposedly have an internal problem and can not process the card. Then I was told that if I switched I could have my stuff right away if not I would have to wait 10 to 14 days.
I contacted Amex and was told there is nothing wrong with my card and they could not understand what the problem is as the merchant could call it in and get authorization.. I think the problem is the store. They are not right. Be careful when dealing with these people."
"Never buy from this store! They advertise the lowest price but they try to sell you something else. I ordered my camera with Package #2 on Dec 25. Ernie (or Bernie?) emailed me that I need to call them. When I called he said that the battery would last only 20 minutes so he said I should go with another battery. This is same issue with another review in this site. I am a beginner and don't know anything about camera batteries; I said OK. He sent me a revised invoice that included a "6 hour battery" for $319.99! When I received the camera and battery, all he did was add another battery of the same type! And he did not send me the additional Package #2. I called and he said he would send it right away. I received the additional stuff ONE MONTH after I initially placed the order.
I read the other reviews on this site and it looks like other customers have similar issues.

"I ordered from them and they called a few days later to confirm the order. I confirmed it and was told it would ship. The website said it was in stock (I printed that just in case). It also said the order would process in 24-48 hours. I followed up at hour 458 to see what's up. We'll see if I get a camera or not..."

I ordered SLR digital camera more than week ago. In 3 days I got an e-mail where I was asked to call them to verify my order. After a few unsuccessful attempts I got somebody on the line and was pressed to buy additional battery. When I refused it and argued with seller I was informed that my order will be processed and on the next day they will ship the camera. In next 4 days I called them every day and every time I was told that there is some problems and delays with my order…finally camera was never was shipped. I have a feeling that they collect your credit card numbers and sell them abroad…

"I spent a great deal of time researching the canon wide angle lens that I ordered for DailyDealDigital. They were about $40.00 cheaper than the nearest competitor. I received a notice that the order had been received and that the next notice would be with the shipping instructions... nothing arrived. On January 4th I sent an e-mail request a status report, but received no response. Two days later, I called the number and after a time got a live person on the phone. He claimed that the credit card was waiting for approval. I told him that this was nonsense. I had never been questioned on my crdeit before. Two days later, I sent another request for a status report with a cancel date attached. I have a deadline project that I need the lens to complete. Today, it is Jan 13 and no response has been sent to me. I am extremely disappointed with this company's policy of avoidance of my simple requests for information. Do they have the lens or not and when is it going to be shipped.They have cost me a great deal of grief. I would not recommend them if you have deadlines to meet."

"I am currently having the same issues as others. I placed my order and then received a call three days later to try to sell me additional items. I asked to think about it and would call back in an hour. I specifically asked if my order would ship that day even if I delayed an hour to think about their offer...I was told yes, either way my order would be shipped that day (Monday). Received an email later saying my order had been processed and another email would be sent with the tracking information. The next day (Tuesday) I had not received the tracking information...emailed them and received no response. Emailed again Wednesday requesting shipping details...again, no response. Called today (Thursday) and was told that they had not received approval for the purchase from my credit card, so order had not been shipped (even though the salesman told me the order would definitely be shipped Monday, three days earlier). I threatened to cancel my order as I need it quickly, so he said they would work to get the issue resolved. Based on the other reviews here, I am not holding my breath. They may advertise great prices, but as with the others here, don't expect to receive your order quickly, if at all."
"I received a call from Bernard (I guess he answers all the lines into this company)on yesterday and he indicated that their credit card system was not operating so my order was on hold until they received the approval. Today, I called by credit card company and they indicated that there were so charges pending against my account so no one was attempting to make any charges from DDD against my card. Bernard explained that the issue was internal, but you can't get an approval until you contact my credit card company (simple transaction) and if there were any internal issues, DDD, would still be able to phone in for an approval. Plus, if their network was down as they explained, you could very quickly open a paypal account if you really wanted to do business "legitimately."
I would not buy, better yet, attempt to buy from this company again. My family owns a retail establishment that has been in business for over 45 yrs, and I work for a payment vendor for some of the biggest retailers so I know the payment process very well and what Bernard said isn't panning out.

"This place is awful. I ordered my Canon Rebel T1i more than 4 weeks ago & STILL have not received it (and it's after the holidays now)! I emailed 3 times & called twice. The last time I called they told me they were having problems processing major credit cards & they didn't know when it would be resolved - it could be 3 days or 3 weeks!!!! I get the feeling they don't want you to buy from them unless you purchase accessories. What a sham! I would not recommend this place to anyone. I am going to (hopefully) cancel my order the next business day. "

"Ordered online Sat nite, got email with order number but no invoice. Decided to wait until Monday to see if order posted, no dice. Called up, was offered multiple upgrades, declined them all but upgraded my shipping to 3-5 day. Within minutes I received an email saying that my order was processed and I would receive another email with invoice, shipping number etc. Next email came a little later: Dear customer, our system is unable to bill it through any major credit card network, do you want to wait to resolve this issue or cancel etc. I cancelled, they sent another email with a $20 credit. I emailed back that a credit was pretty useless if I couldn't actually buy anything with a credit card. Waste of time."
