"To start I buy almost everything online and like many others who do the same have one or two horror stories I've been a part of. And experience with the multitude of other online retailers who give so-so service, are hard to get a quick response from, etc. So I don't get easily impressed by customer service from online retailers.
Anyway on to my experience with Dale Photo & Digital. I ordered a soft shutter release button for my new camera. Due to a misunderstanding with their shipping policy, I received a cancellation email notice. We had a big family trip planned, so I replied explaining my situation. Basically if I didn't get the order from Dale Photo & Digital, I probably wouldn't receive the item in time for the trip (processing/shipping time for creating a new order with a different online shop). Their customer service department not only replied in minutes, but also was VERY understanding. They allowed me to resubmit the order, and also hand-carried the package to USPS the next day (their normal carrier is UPS). And I received the item in time for my trip! This type of customer service for a first-time customer with a $20 order is a first for me!"
