"very uncertain. i ordered 2g for my 15" pb g4. fedex goofed and left it without a signature and it's gone missing. i feel as though dmi doesn't really care. they keep saying they can't do anything. fedex tells me that the claim was paid. dmi tells me it was denied. i want to have a backup memory vendor, but i think it's not going to be dmi. too bad. they have great pricing."

"I've ordered a Tyan Tiger MP motherboard and a couple of Athlon XP 1800+ CPUs. As you may know, these CPUs work perfectly in dual setup.
I live in Israel and had to pay a $62 premium for shipment and also local taxes (17%).
The shipment has arrived and I assembled everything. After powering it up, the system hasn't post and strange smell appeared. I immediately switched the power off and have taken all the stuff to the local lab for checks.
They have determined, that the motherboard has defective voltage regulator. This caused the CPUs to get burnt.
I’ve sent an e-mail to DMI and they said they’re not taking any responsibility because these CPUs are not intended for dual use!!! They said they tesed the stuff before shipping and the failure appeared because I’ve used these CPUs in dual configuration whereas I shouldn’t!!!
This is a total crap. In fact, both AMD and Tyan approve use of Athlon XP in single setup on Tiger MP, so there is no electrical problem.
Only now I’ve got a replacement board from the local dealer (for additional $50), and now I’m stuck with 2 burnt CPUs which costed me almost $500.
Never ever buy from these guys, they will f***k you up and then not take any responsibility.
