"I searched all over the Internet and at various retailers around my area (and even a bit outside my area) looking for a specific pair of shoes. Apparently very few manufacturers make black and white wing-tipped shoes. And those that do, don't carry them in my size.

The only reason I used DanceStore.com is simple: it was the only one who carried the shoes I liked. And believe it or not, they had two pairs to choose from! From the beginning, I called them to ask a few questions and they were both informative and courteous (and easy to contact--no long hold times), and they shipped my shoes sooner than I expected.

There was one hiccup in my order. UPS dropped my package off at the wrong door in my apartment complex (a large complex) and so I had to make an inquiry and report my item undelivered. As UPS requested, I needed to report it to DanceStore.com, which I did. The person I talked to was sympathetic and took care of the issue immediately (while I was on the phone with her). She credited back my credit card for the price of the shoes and asked if I wanted another pair shipped. I told her to wait and see if one of my neighbours was benevolent enough to bring them by (in case that was what happened--which, it turns out, I was correct). When my neighbour dropped them off that evening I called DanceStore.com back and my order was complete. The point of this story was to show that DanceStore.com was willing to do what it took to get my order right and keep me satisfied.

As for the product, the shoes are wonderful. Not only are they hand-made, but they ended up costing less than many others I saw online (though these were the only ones that fit).

The only bad thing I could possibly report about DanceStore.com is the shipping policy. While I realise that these shoes are handmade, it doesn't make much sense for an online shoe retailer not to cover return shipping costs. I was a bit hesitant to order them because of my trouble with finding the correct fit. I was fortunate that they did fit, but if they hadn't, I would have been responsible for the return shipping. I could see that policy alone keeping many people away from their site (and less business for them). It almost did me.

Other than that, the experience was flawless. I will definitely buy my next pair from DanceStore.com."
