"I’ve been dealing with Dans Comp for over a year. All of their associates are knowledgeable and friendly. I can’t say enough good things about the company and the people who work there. "
"I bought a helmet and it was the wrong size. Tried to get in touch with them through email but never could "
"Ordered some rohloff oil, shipping would get it to me in a reasonable timeframe, got an email a couple of days after I ordered it saying 'oops, it's not actually in stock after all' and giving me a link (didn't work) to cancel or otherwise deal with my order. After some frustration with that, I ordered from another seller, emailed Dan's Comp to tell them to cancel my order, don't hear anything until i get an email saying "hey, your order shipped."
So their online system to deal with the order didn't function, they couldn't mange their supply chain, and customer service couldn't respond in a timely manner. Luckily I was able to cancel my other order, and the oil from Dan's Comp showed up eventually, but it was an incredibly frustrating experience for such a simple order. Not recommended."
"I have had good experiences with Dan’s Comp in the past, but when my order did not arrive, I tried calling customer service but I listened to their recorded message that said they got rid of the phone center due to online popularity. What a way to treat the customer by not providing customer support. There is absolutely no way I will continue with this company after this. Still waiting on my order and have no idea if or when it will be shipped..."
"I ordered a new bike and it took 1 week just to get the confirmation email it’s been over 2 weeks and it’s still not shipped fast shipping my **** I’ll stick to source bmx"
"I have been waiting on my order for two months with EXPEDITE shiiping, and then they say they don't have the items in stock and I have to wait for another half a year. Asked for a refund a month ago, just now received a notification that they are processing my request. Scam website, stay away!"
"My son and I have tried to cancel his order at least 5 times via EMAIL, becauase nobody answers the phone. They don't answer emails either and he's got a $350+ order just floating around since June 12th. Their one and only replay was "Oh I hope our emails aren't going to your spam folder." No, ****, they AREN'T. "
"First time I ordered, I received my packaged on different days even though I ordered them all on the same day, never received one out of the 3 items I ordered, so I emailed them, they told me the item wasn't in stock so they canceled that order, thanx for the heads up right? The 2nd time I ordered from them, I ordered a rear cassette wheel, the next day I ordered a new front wheel, after about 2 weeks the front wheel came but still no back wheel, so I emailed them to find out that after waiting two+ weeks for my rear cassette to arrive, they had already canceled the order because the wheel wasn't in stock, even though when I ordered the wheel, the website said *in stock, just recently ordered some $200 cranks, I ordered them 7 days ago as I'm writing this, checked email and estimated arrival is April 10th, thats 14 days, TWO weeks just to get some cranks, why are we paying $20 shipping when it takes 2 weeks to arrive from Cali to Florida? Pretty much, Dan's Comp **** a$$, I just re-ordered by rear cassette wheel off of Ebay and it should be here within a week for less money. Thanx Dan's Comp."
"Ordered a bunch of parts from website. Never got a confirmation of order so I called a few days later. Was told order was cancelled because items not in stock (despite website saying they are in stock). So I ordered other parts over phone which thesales guy said are all in stock. 10 days later I still received nothing. Called again and was told that this order was cancelled also because items not in stock. Absolutely useless store, no communcation whatsoever. How do they stay in business ?? Worst shopping experience ever by far."
"Been waiting months (7-8) for them to fix a simple problem. Ordered something got the wrong package, sent it back for a refund. Since then I haven't received my refund, called to see what the problem was now this time, they refunded the other persons money (the person who got my packages) and I'm to wait with my d!ck in my hand. Terrible business do not spend your hard earned money with these people buy from your local stores! "
"Charged me twice for the same order..prmised delivery on a certain day..that didn't happen.
Will not refund me .. my bank is now investigating"
"Can't post this on Facebook, since it's "hateful" I guess.
I recently placed a pretty big order on Danscomp.com, totaling $750. It was everything for a fully custom bmx bike for my wife to ride with me, minus the frame because it was on back order for months. I placed my order while deployed overseas. I sustained a spinal injury while deployed, so instead of having the bike be an expensive, shiny paperweight, we decided to return the parts until I healed up enough to ride again. We ended up paying $150 in shipping, and to add insult to injury, got docked another $40 in restocking fees. Danscomp's return policy does not specify a restocking fee will be taken, or that something can't be worked out to at least partially refund insane shipping cost. I called to try and find out if something can be done, considering $200 of my money was essentially thrown away, and it took almost two weeks of hearing nothing back until I had to call again, in my extremely limited time, to see what was up, until they gave me my partial refund. Christina (yes, I'm calling you out by name, lady.) unsympatheticly told me to **** off. I've been a customer of this site for even a decade, but no more. Worst customer service ever, SUPPORT YOUR LOCAL BIKE SHOP. To hell with Danscomp"
"I just got off the phone with Danscomp customer service employees. I initially spoke to Alex, who doubted my case and wanted to measure himself. He then proceeded to put me on hold indefinitely. I ended the call after about 30min and called again. This time I waited for about 15min before I was hung up on without speaking to anyone. After that, I called again for return questions and spoke to a female who picked up with ‘hello’. She also gave me a hard time and then told me that she will connect me to the mechanics. I was on hold again for several minutes. When I called again, she picked up and I heard her laughing before she hung up again.
Here is my case.
I ordered a 1 1/8” kink saddle post clamp. What I received was a 1” saddle post clamp. I explained that to that same unknown lady before I returned the items. However, danscomp stole the shipping money claiming they had shipped the right item. Here comes incompetence.
A 1 1/8” saddle post is 28.6mm. That’s an industry standard and can be verified easily by going to ‘sheldonbrown.com’, which is an open source bicycle standard library. Not that a company like danscomp should know that, maybe I am asking too much. In order to clamp down a frame to a 1 1/8” saddle post, the saddle post clamp would have to be larger to fit the frame around the tube. In my case, the frame outside diameter is 31.87mm. However, the diameter of the supposedly 1 1/8” seat clamp is 28.84mm.
Yes, it will fit a 28.6 1 1/8” saddle post but it will only allow 0.24mm for the frame, which is impossible and nonsense. It clearly shows that this is a 1” clamp. It also fits snuggly on my 1” seat post bikes.
I contacted Kink Bikes Co. and they stated that they only produce 1” seat clamp posts.

Further, I ordered that same clamp from Albe’s online store correctly labeled as 1”.
http://www.albes.com/kink-focus-seat-clamp/
Now that we know that Kink only makes 1”, that the measurements are clearly not 1 1/8” and that Albes sells them correctly labeled I wonder why I am being robbed, disrespected and laughed at.
I want the stolen $6 back and I promise I will never again do business with such incompetent, slow and disrespectful company again.

"Just got my Fit Eddie V3 frame as ordered. I have been buying from Dan's Comp for years and they always satisfy. It came quickly and was well packed. Had to return a set of pedals and the customer service team made it super easy. This is the 3rd custom bike I have built and Dan's Comp always delivers!!"
"It seems to me that Dan's sells inferior products that did not pass quality inspection and should really be sold as clearance/damaged items and not as new, problem-free items. The t-shirt I got had 2 holes front and back. Funny thing, it was packaged in plastic, which didn't have any holes, so whoever put it in plastic, saw the holes, but decided it was good anyway. the holes are about an inch long each - there's no way you can miss them, or at least you shouldn't! Next is a handlebar that I got. First off, it was scuffed up on the outside - no longer had that shiny "new" look - and, to add insult to injury there was much rust on the inside. I contacted Dan's but no one ever got back to me. Come to think of it, when I contacted them with questions about some products, they ignored me as well. I should've known they were no good based on that. You may think you're getting a deal buying from Dan's but you're not even getting what you're paying for. You're getting a product that doesn't meet expectations and was probably acquired by them dirt cheap as "damaged", yet they sell it as "new". No wonder some of their stuff is less expensive than many places (not cheapest, either), but having spent $70 on a handlebar, I would expect it to be perfect! I'm very dissatisfied. "
