"Ordered nearly $200 worth of merchandise and waited months. Never received it. Emailed them 2x, called 2x, left voicemail. Nothing. Had to file a dispute with my credit card."
"This companies a scam. Ordered from their website and received the wrong item. Reached out them multiple times now they email, phone, and instagram DM to get no response. It says “read” and she posts stories of her “healing journey” meanwhile she’s stealing peoples money. Don’t shop here. "
"I ordered a bra for $36.99 on 12/12/22. As of 12/20, I noticed the shipping information still said “Pre-Shipment” even though it was supposedly shipped 7 days prior. I reached out to the merchant and was told it was probably because USPS was busy. Given this was an Instagram purchase, I was nervous it was a scam so I reached out to USPS on 12/20. On 12/24, they sent me a response that said, “After further research, the package does show to be in the possession of the postal service. It does not show picked up nor does it show to be processed at any postal service processing plant. Please contact the sending company about the situation with your package”. I reached out to the merchant on 12/24 letting them know what USPS said and they did not respond. Naturally, that made me feel like it was a scam so I filed a claim with my bank. On 12/31, the merchant emailed and texted me saying the package was delivered. I responded to their text saying I didn’t receive anything. On 1/3, they emailed me again threatening to report me for theft (even though a package was never delivered). I told them to stop harassing me. On 1/10, I received a call from the front office of my apartment telling me they had a daughters of culture package for me. As much as I did not want to close the claim with my bank given how unprofessional DOC had been, I felt it was the right thing to do. I reached out to the merchant letting them know I received the package and would close the claim. I closed the claim the following day (1/11) and continued to receive daily, harassing texts from the merchant asking me to close the claim. One of the texts was at 11:30pm on a Thursday. I had to block the number. I am honestly appalled that a company would conduct business this way - they should NOT be in business. Mind you, this was all over a $36.99 purchase. I wish I could post the screenshots!"
"Scam. Placed an order for a jumpsuit in December and received an email from the owner (Peggy?) stating the item I ordered was out of stock, and asking if I wanted something different. I replied no, that's okay, I'd take a refund no worries. Then, radio silence. 3 months have gone by. I've emailed again to follow up, called the phone number provided on the email, and gotten no response either way. I've now resorted to blowing up the DOC Instagram account with comments, which have gotten deleted because this lady needs to keep up the delusional front that she's just busy sending love and light and positive vibes and tie dyed yoga pants day and night. In reality, she is STEALING, plain and simple. Any ethical company that values their customers would refund the $100 for the out-of-stock item and move on. Apparently she has a reputation for running her business this way... wish I'd known before I sent her my dough."
"This company has the WORST customer service and chooses to operate unethically. After spending upwards of $300 and a very long wait for the delivery, I opened my package to find 5 items that I did not order… when I emailed support they told me that the material for the items I DID order was out of stock and to put “return to sender” on a package and send the items they sent back... when I asked for a refund they completely stopped replying and I haven’t heard from anyone. do not give this company your money!"
"Absolutely terrible experience!! Sent me an item completely not at all like what I ordered, and never replied to emails/facebook messages or Instagram DMs until I publicly posted about them. Offered me a discount on future purchases (no thanks!!) but refused to refund or exchange because of "COVID". I had to file a claim with Paypal to get some of my money back. Avoid at all costs!!"
"Don't shop there please whatever you do. They are out to rip you off and do the exact opposite of what you email them about no matter how you ask. There are SO MANY OTHER yoga clothing companies and I never had any issues ordering from them like I did with this horrible scamming company!"
"It is my first and definitely last time shopping with them! I asked them if they have the specific print they said yes. After they made me do the purchase they said they cannot guarantee the print. Really???"
"I ordered leggings and used a promo code. They have a return policy on their site. They also have an exchange policy on their site. The return policy says sale items cannot be returned. The exchange policy says items bought using a coupon code cannot be exchanged. The pants do not fit and I sought to return them. In response, they not only said no, and they claimed they do not have a return policy (I copied and pasted it from their website to share with them) and instead cited their exchange policy, which is not applicable at all. Ultimately, they stopped communicating with me entirely and I have filed a claim with my credit card company because of their misinformation. I would not recommend this company."
"The pieces I own from DOC are so flowy and comfortable. They're great to wear from lounging at home to chilling at the beach. I own 2 jumpers and they're seriously the best things ever. "
"I have purchased several pieces from DOC & I love each one. Some orders have taken a bit longer to receive, but one of the items is sewn when ordered which is in the description, so obviously it would take longer with the production time.
My last order did take a lot longer than expected, but I received a small gift. And the beautiful piece of clothing fit perfectly & was totally worth the wait. "
"Asteya is the Sanskrit term for "non-stealing". It is a virtue in Hinduism. The practice of asteya demands that one must not steal, nor have the intent to steal another's property through action, speech and thoughts.
Sadly I made a large order over 7 weeks ago, many items were not in stock even though it did not show this online, the order itself was ignored for the first few weeks. Then they offered me replacements for out of stock items rather than a refund. 7 weeks later only half the order has turned up, I reported missing items in the package and they say they were shipped, out of stock items have also not been refunded.
I’ve had to do a claim via my credit card company now as I am out of pocket and am now being ignored my DOC.
I advice all to re consider before ordering with this company, very disappointed especially as they show a yoga ethos which is clearly not practised."
"Overpriced junk leggings from L.A i could have shopped at Walmart, at least the price is more in line with the product. Oh, and if they give u free shipping as a first time buyer the purchssed is a final sale. Daughter's of Culture never again!"
"I've been wearing their apparel for a few years now, and I love the dry wicking pieces for hot yoga. They are super easy to hand wash and I am constantly getting compliments on them. The bright patterns are also ones that get noticed at my gym. People always ask where I got my leggings. I wear them to the office and out on dates, too! Guys love women in yoga pants ;)
There are a lot of designs to choose from and everything is very comfortable to wear. I especially love the Flash Bra - I wear that out on dates under a pretty top all the time, not to mention they are perfect for sweaty yoga!"
"Everything from Daughter of Culture is unique. It's not your run-of-the-mill apparel. Each one is appealing in it's design, pattern and colors, but the real reason I purchase Daughter of Culture clothing is because they feel amazing. It ACTUALLY FEELS like heaven on my skin. DofC also has a clutter-free website, so it's easy to find what I'm looking for when I'm shopping. I've never been disappointed by a purchase with DofC and I enjoy it's lifestyle brand. I follow them on social media, especially Instagram because the posts are inspiring. I just love what DofC does and I will be a life-long customer, as long as they keep feeling the way they do."
