"I opened the shipping box and realized I had ordered the wrong item. I immediately followed Dealpal's instructions on their site to request a return authorization. I have never had a response. I have sent 4 follow up responses and still nothing. How do places like this stay in business?"
"I found the best price for the item I was looking for on Dealpal.com. Actually, it was the best price IF I signed up for a trial of a magazine (cancel in a certain amount of time so that you won't be charged). Here is how my transaction went with DealPal:
I ordered the item and agreed to the terms of the magazine offer.
I got an email from DealPal stating that my order could not be completed. Annoying, but OK.
So I ordered the item at a slightly higher price elsewhere.
I got an email from DP saying "congratulations! Your order went through and should be shipped soon."
THERE IS NO CUSTOMER SERVICE # LISTED SO THAT YOU CAN CANCEL AN ORDER.
So I emailed them, explained the situation about the incorrect first email they sent, and asked them to cancel the order since I'd already purchased the item elsewhere.
Days go by...
I emailed again and requested that the item be canceled and expressed my concern that the item would ship before they read my email.
Days go by...
I get an email confirmation that my item shipped.
Days go by...
Hey, they finally read my email and were able to CANCEL the order! Interesting, because I already received the item.
The next day...
An email from DP saying that they were WRONG in the other email and that my order was NOT CANCELED after all- gee, ya think?
BTW, almost immediately after the purchase, I was charged $29.99 on my credit card for the magazine subscription "trial."
I emailed customer service with this whole story and wanted instructions to RMA. This ANNOYED be because I was sure I'd have to pay the return shipping when the error was NOT MY FAULT.
Days go by...
I email again, to the "request RMA" address...
I emailed again a couple days later. Needless to say, they never have answered me and I'm still waiting on the $29.99 credit for the magazine charge on my card."
"I placed an order before Christmas and paid $20 extra for 2-day shipping (not to mention the product was priced $15 more than it was in stores). The order was not processed for 3 days, so I attempted to cancel. They assured me the order was cancelled and would not ship, but I received the product the day after Christmas. My card was charged and I have now sent at least five separate communications requesting return instructions with NO response whatsoever. Very unhappy."

The pros are that the site was easy to navigate and use to find what I was looking for.
The con is that I was supposed to receive a confirmation that the product has shipped within 3-5 business days and still have not received it.

"Terrible service. They didn't carry items they advertised. Waited 3 weeks to tell me they do not have it and won't in the future. While paying for my item, they signed me up for Realnetwork service which started to charge my credit card without my consent. Avoid this fradulent merchant far and wide!! Baaad, bad baaad!!!"
