"I was reminded of this when a gpu I ordered off Amazon was late AND I couldn't get a tracking number from them.

On 4-29-10, I hadn't received an order confirmation or a tracking number from them, so I called them several times, but an automated/recorded voice would answer, tell me that there were no available representatives, put me on hold, but it hangs up after 45 seconds. So I sent them an email, and they said it would be shipped in "1-2 days or less."
Since then they have been coming up with excuses about why it hasn't shipped and always tell me "1-2 days or less."
Finally I told them that I would report them "to the IC3 and the BBB etc."
They said "Billy, Tracking will be emailed by COB Monday."... "No need to ever “report”. We are always here for our customers."
That was on Friday, 6-11-10. It is now Wednesday, 6-16-10 and again, I haven't received what they promised.
I have the entire conversation between me, Billy Carter, and Dealer Cost Car Audio (a total of 51 emails spanning 6 weeks and 6 days). I also have my bank statement showing the purchase.[***END***]"
"I've done so much great business with this company over the span of about a decade and I honestly have to say that I really miss this company. Anybody with any sense could compare their products against any other business and dealer cost would win every time. I honestly don't know what to do without you guys because there isn't anymore businesses in that league. From the bottom of my heart we really lost a great company. "
"Ordered two amps evening of July 26th. Site stated amps were "in stock" Contacted DCCA on 8/1 after receiving no updates and they stated amps would ship by 8/3. On 8/4 contacted via email and told them to cancel the order if the amps don't ship today with a discount applied for the poor customer service. Amp orders cancelled and responder acted like I was unreasonable since my CC was not charged but I reminded them funds are held for the transaction. If the item is in stock, they would have shipped already. It looks like the negative reviews for them are warranted. "
"I never leave reviews. I was in a tight situation where my amp went bad, and I had to replace it before our family trip or we would have no music for an 8 hour road trip. I asked Dealer Cost if they could expedite my order to get it in by Thursday. This was on Monday. They told me they would upgrade me to Priority Mail 2 day free of charge. They did this. I got the amp Wednesday. I was able to install the amp Wednesday, and everything worked perfectly. As I said, I never leave reviews. But this type of performance should never go un-noticed."
"Took 3 weeks to get a L7 sub woofer and when I did get it it's the wrong one. They took over a week for me to even get any communication that the one I ordered was out of stock yet they still sent me the wrong one anyways. They kept trying to convince me the one they sent was better I could care less cause the one I paid for is what I wanted. Rather than have to deal with them again in returning and getting my speaker I ordered I'll take the downgrade speaker and never deal with Dealer cost again. Stay away from these un professional and careless un supportive and horrible customer service business. Worst order in my life. "
"I ordered a JL Audio subwoofer for my van that I needed urgently for a road trip. I told him when I ordered that was leaving on Friday, and this was on Monday. Even though I was across the country, he agreed to ship it 2 day priority mail at NO CHARGE! Literally by Wednesday the package was at my doorstep. How is that for service? Quick, easy, and the cheapest on the web. Very, very, very very satisfied. Thxx!"
"I place a order for two JL subs got a tracking number and the guy says u will have them by Friday well a week and a half later i call to check the status of the order and the guys says they aren't shipped yet they will ship the next day. So the next day i call back ask for a manager and he informs me the order has not shipped and that the subs were out of stock and on backorder. Then he basically calls me a lie and tells me that the 2 guys prior dint tell me the subs shipped. I then asked for a refund and he tells me i have to put in a request on the website for the refund so i did this yesterday and today the guy on the phone says it takes 24 hours which it has been. and i still have no refund yet but my dad is an attorney so ill get it back one way or the other. I would not ever do business with this company again and i would not suggest other to do so in the future."

"Bought a JL Audio JX250/1 on Black Friday at their advertised price of $105. I thought this was too good to be true. So I called before I purchased, and they assured me that it is as advertised. So i reluctantly placed the order, and low and behold, 2 days later the amplifier was at my doorstep as advertised! I am more than thrilled with their service and prices. I will look forward to using them for all my audio needs, and will be buying my new subwoofer from them as well. Best website!"
"I was looking for the best deal on a Audiocontrol Epicenter online, and ran into Dealer Cost. I emailed them really quickly due to the fact I needed the product overnighted to make it here for an installation that I had scheduled for weeks. They assured me that that wasn't a problem as long as I ordered it by 3 PM. That's what I did. And guess what? It was here the next day in time for my installation appointment. Thanks guys! Next time I will buy it all from you!"
"Dealer Cost Car Audio is terrible. They listed a good price on an item and when ordered they say they are out of stock. The worst part is they waited several days to make this aware to me as the buyer. I will never do business with this vendor again, and I would suggest to anyone and everyone I can to stay away from this vendor."
"I ordered speakers listed on their web site, received a confirmation of my order and that my order was being processed, and that I should receive a notice within 24 hours if the item was no longer available. Having heard nothing within 24 hours, I asked for an ETA and was advised my order was cancelled due to a backorder. There was no indication the speakers were backordered. Had I not inquired I cold have waited days to find out my order was not going to be honored."
