"I purchased 2 viper alarms by mistake because of computer glitches. How does that happen? I hit the process button and it brings me back to write the information again and then rings me up twice. I E-Mailed them about the situation and they said they would refund one and send the other. Well as the rest of the guys here went through. It take 1-2 days max FOR EVERYTHING! "dealercostcaraudio.com is 100% a scam. I ordered a kicker sub for 147.95 on 11/17/09. They obviously didn't have it in stock and gave me the run around for weeks. Finally I realized that it just wasn't happening and I started asking for a refund. They still have not refunded me as of yet, and it is 7 months later! I have been shopping online for over 10 years, and I have never ever had any problems like this before and I don't know how they are getting away with it. I have filed a complaint with BBB of CA and I'm gonna find every other possible way to get my money back. One other comment on this page suggested a class action lawsuit. I think that would be a great idea and I would be willing to be a part of it. Email me at ****@**** if you are starting one. Please do not buy anything from this company. I wish I had researched this business before I gave them my CC info. I didn't have the bank refund me either and now it is too late..... Added 6/15/10 I got a phone call from someone who said his name was Simon. I asked for his last name, and he hesitated, then gave told me Isaacs. When I asked him to spell it he said" I Z oh I mean S.... It was obvious to me he was lying. He proceeded to tell me that they are not a scam and that all these complaints are just half of a percent of the business that they do. I find it hard to believe. He told me that there must have been a problem. DCCA has finally refunded me. I must have sent 15 emails asking then to refund me, but it took me filing with the BBB of CA, FBI IC3 Internet fraud division, CA attorney general, and threating to get my lawyer involved to make them actually refund it. If you find yourself looking at this page because you got burned by these scam artists, be persistent. Don't believe their emails, take action IMMEDIATELY, and don't stop until your money is back in your account. "

"Dealer Cost Car Audio is hands down the worst internet business I have ever dealt with in several hundred web transactions I have made. They are a nightmare to deal with. Completely and totally incompetent, evasive, deceitful, smarmy and duplicitous, I know quite not how they can keep there doors open. Certainly not for much longer I hope. They still have $1215.78 of mine from an order they claimed to be able to fill but couldn't. I made the order 7 weeks ago and cancelled it over a month ago. They claimed 3 times to have "initiated" a refund. My bank has no record. Their operations border on the criminal without doubt. They redefine "bad business" to a degree far below 3rd world standards of bad business, of which I am not unacquainted unfortunately. It is truly much greater than an annoyance to try to do business with them. Beware !"
"I ordered a head unit on the 17th of May 2010, order number 58769. My card was charged the next day and I have not received a tracking number since. I have complained twice and have only gotten the runaround. If the item is not at my door when I get home from work today, I'll be filing a police report and claim at my credit union.
Edited to add: within 2 or 3 minutes I get the following email: "Please work with us directly if you need to cancel your order. Please remove your review, and give us a chance to resolve it first directly. Thank you!" This is really unbelievable. That's customer service?

Latest update: My credit union says the seller has 30 days from the date of transaction to deliver product or issue a refund. I was told "deliver" means at my door, NOT just proof of shipment. The refund, too, cannot be just a promise. Anyway, I filed a complaint with the BBB and am considering picketing the store in Santa Ana. Anyone else interested? My email is ****@****"
"Ordered April 8th 2010 Kenwood C521FM 10 disc changer. Website made no indication it was out-of-stock, and says 95% of orders ship in 48 hours. 2 weeks later no product, and no emails from the company, I call, and after 25 minutes on hold I am told that it is being shipped right now, and a discount will be given. A week later still no product, no discount received, no emails, I write back and they promise to ship within days. 2 months and 11 emails to them later, I still had no product, only broken promise after broken promise to ship it and provide some sort of tracking number, so I request my money back. They never wrote to me to provide an update unless I wrote to them first. After all this, they tell me to work with them. What??? Are they crazy, what had I been trying to do? I tell them at this point I am canceling my order and I just want my money back and I want it now not another 2 months, and they tell me 1-2 days max. It has been another week now and no money.
I paid by credit card so I am disputing the charge with my bank.
Do NOT BUY from dealercostcaraudio.com. They are liars and frauds, and that is all.
They have an F rank by BBB with 898 complaints as of now. That must be some type of record. This is hands-down the worst company I have ever dealt with. I feel very strongly about this and have made complaints to the BBB, California attorney general, and will make one more to the FBI for internet fraud. I encourage everyone else who these guys have burned or not received a product / refund to do the same. It needs to be reported or these guys will keep doing this to others.

Just to update this review. After posting this, for the first time I got a call from the company, and they blamed me for their problems and said I should have canceled my deal sooner, and it can only be done through the proper page on their site and not by email, so that is why I have not received my money. In addition, they told me that my bank will charge me $50 if I dispute the charge. However, they had already cancelled it via email and given me a time frame of 1-2 days to receive my money and it was never sent, so that is just more of their B.S. He told me that even a two year old could cancel something properly and not to make bad posts. Then after that I got an email from them which includes my company and threatens me. My company's name was never given to them and never used with me in correspondence before, so that means they they looked my personal information up online in a retaliation attempt and it is obvious that they want to try to blackmail or extort me if I try anything. I will make sure I post as many places as possible. I will just pass this along to the FBI with my original report, since it seems they cannot operate within the law."

"I won't comment as to whether or not this is a fraudulent business but... Put an order in on 5.16.10. Starting having email communications with some dude named Chris seven days after just like their confirmation of order email recommends. With each correspondence, the responses to my questions became more and more suspicious and childish. Essentially, playing a game of cat and mouse. At that point, Googled this website 6.3.10 and found out that others were having the same sort of experience. I then sent another email off demanding a credit but did not hear back from them at all when I had been receiving return communications almost instantly through the whole waiting process. I am being nice here but please read between the lines. Save yourself some grief, time and effort and go somewhere reputable. "
"DCCA is a scam! I ordered and paid May 24th and funds were taken immediately. A few days later the status had not changed from funds received. Being a little skeptical I searching and came across resellerrating.com to check creditability and found a lot of people having the very same problem I was. I responded and told DCCA to ship my item or give me a refund, and on May 28th I got a tracking number for UPS. Checking UPS for updates since then only tells me this: “Billing information has been sent to UPS. Check site later for updated shipment status or contact shipper for more details.” Basically stating that 2 weeks after payment there is still no package in the mail, and all DCCA had to say after I emailed them asking if they have shipped my item was “May need a few days to update. Can you give it a few more days?” I finally today turned them into IC3 (Internet Crime Complaint Center which has a site online for internet fraud/scams) so this hopefully doesn’t continue to happen to any more people.
QUICK UPDATE: They are extremely eager to respond when a bad review is written on their behalf. In this responce they ask me to remove this review, stated that filing false IC3 complaints is illegal, and that I needed to send off a refund request after I already have 8 days ago and today as well. They are also trying to convince me that they only have a .025 percent of unsatisfied customers. I don't understand how I can be so lucky to join the few that have had disputes with this company.
UPDATE: Back on June 4th I put in my 3rd refund request and talked to a representative who finally called me after posting this review and processed the refund over the phone. It is now June 21st and I still have not recieved my refund, and I dont really care I put in a despute with my card company so they will get my money back. I cant believe my eyes when people give the company a credit of 4 checks from a 1 because they FINALLY GET THEIR REFUND. This is crap!!! Everything this company offers is on BACKORDER. They will ship you a tracking number if you ask for a refund just to quite you for a few days then you finally realize it never shipped, call them up, and they want to tell you it is on backorder, but some how shipped a week ago I mean wtf. I figure with three warehouses they might have something in stock, but whatever screw this company I hope IC3 shuts them down quickly!!!"
"Took my money and did not have the item in stock. Give me a substitute and it is not available either. Said it would ship within 24hr and it never did. I waited for almost a month and nothing shipped out. BBB rating=F. I asked them for a full refund and also I'm calling my credit card to let them know that they have not ship my product.
