Do not order with company

"I ordered with wowcher on the beginning of December that is linked with deals direct, got a delivery estimate for before or after 11th January, fine. Called wiwcher to confirm “Yes it should be with you now” 11th January here we are, received email finally from deals direct to say it will be delivered on or before the 28th. Honestly absolute joke, I needed the perfume for Xmas, NEVER MIND AYE. Only 50 quid! Avoid if you want on time delivery and communication during delivery . "

Not even deserving a 1 star!

"Absolute disgrace! Ordered 6th December 2016 for Christmas, items never arrived before Christmas except a pack of pencils that were packaged in a box and courier delivered, yet 3 smartwatches sent in a Auspost satchel AFTER January. After 25+ emails and numerous phone calls and being told my order had been delivered yet tracking proved otherwise. I still am yet to receive a refund after being promised funds would be returned 10days ago. After four separate phone calls today alone and threatening to call fair trading I was finally called back only to be told I now have to wait even longer. I am not going to hold my breath and will take this matter up with Fair trading Aus. They refuse to give you a call reference number yet record each call THEY DO NOT REPLY TO ANY EMAILS and customer satisfaction is NOT their priority! NOT BUY FROM DEALS.DIRECT if I could give zero stars I would."

Hopeless After Sales

"Unit arrived and did not work out of box. Contacted them and they passed me off to their supplier. Did not want to know at all. If I had to say anything positive, at leaat they told me to get lost quickly. Prompt to do that."

"STILL WAITING! NO PRODUCT! NO REFUND! AND NO IDEA IF I WILL EVER GET MY PRODUCTS I PAID FOR? I ordered and paid for 5 sets of curtains, but they send me an electric blanket! Regardless of my contact with them, all they seem worried about is getting their electric blanket back! I'm still without the items I paid for, and can't get an answer about when (or if) I will get them?"

"fast delivery, easy returns, 14 day change of mind, online helpdesk: these are all lies by dealsdirect.

We ordered ours (electrical goods) in early February and were promised delivery within 12 working days. It is now mid March and we are still waiting.

14-day change of mind: sure you can always change your mind, but can you get your money back? No, you have to take a store credit. If you can get a returns order first!

Online "Helpdesk": this is an insult to all people working in call centres: sometimes when you deal with them it sounds like they just walked in off the street: they are ignorant, unhelpful and arrogant. Each time you contact them (because they will not contact you) you are dealing with a different person and you have to explain your situation from step 1. They seem to have a very high turnover of staff. All they give you is platitudes and cliches ("that's what management tell us to do"). NO help at all.

With so many problems why does dealsdirect show 4.5 stars feedback from customers (on their own website mind you)?
You won't see the feedback form until you've bought from them so don't bother looking for it.

When you click on the feedback link they send you it takes you to a page where dealsdirect give you "guidelines" on how to write feedback.
Here are some of their guidelines:

They reserve the right not to accept your feedback for any reason.
You cannot write about poor customer service, delays in delivery, or damaged goods.
You may ONLY write about the product itself.
In other words they only accept and show the good feedback!

Don't believe it? check out their feedback form.
Oh sorry, you can only see it after you get sucked into to buying something.

We have dealt with themnow for about a month and it has been a total nightmare!
Use them at your own risk. We will NEVER again.

Difficult purchase

Placed my order and paid via B-Pay; was then contacted by an off shore call center demanding I send photos of my licence and credit card to "verify my identity".

The risk of identity fraud is real and companies should treat the threat appropriately - off shore call centers are insecure and your data will likely be compromised or sold.

Customer Service was poor - still have not had my money returned...

"I totally hate their service, i bought blackberry playbook few weeks ago, i thought it was a direct bargains on a deal of purchasing it only for $140, but i didn't knew such crap would happen. Just after paying it with 3 months suddenly the rare camera stopped working, i couldn't open the camera and i called dealsdirect as it was mentioned 1 year warranty. They didn't replied my email and when i call someone used to hangup the phone. I was very disappointed by there service. I definitely don't recommend DD to anybody."

"This company is absolutely hopeless. They've promised a estimated delivery time of 1 business day in Sydney on their website - http://www.dealsdirect.com.au/helpcentre/ . It turned up that today I had to do my OWN investigation just to find out it was lost in the mail.
And it will taker another 7-10 days for the investigation results. I should've bought else where like OO.com.au that promises and delivers.
It will take all up around 14-17 days to get my goods...worthless....should've bought at a normal shop.
The customer service is not behind. They are rude and cannot be bothered with your case. They will close the case as SOLVED without any resolution. And mind you, they will not give their phone number away. You have to chat online or talk to them thru a ridiculous Questions and Updated menus. terrible customer service, delivery system and they cannot look after a customer after they paid them....

Definetely sho elsewhere.

"Bought from dealsdirect.com.au a set of expensive sheets that arrived in the wrong color and with missing pillowslips. They eventually agreed to refund $20 for sending the wrong colors, but when I asked them to send the missing pillowslips, they stalled, saying they had contacted their suppliers about it. I'm still waiting, nearly 2 months later. I've opened a PayPal dispute. At this stage, I'd have to advise anyone thinking of dealing with this company to think again."

"Don't waste your time on these people.
The prices are cheap enough for the quality but their customer service is the WORST I've ever seen. I bought a caserole dish set that arrived broken. They replaced it but demanded the old, broken, one back before they would send a replacement even though I suggested they didn't travel well and I could wait until the new one arrived, swap broken pieces and send back just broken ones. No, they had to send another broken one. That's now happened three times. I've sent almost 40 E-mails and now they say they'll send another one (and I can keep the second one, which they demanded I send back and I did!!) and say they won't refund my money because they've sent me 2?? Go figure.

No phone numbers, can't get details about who owns the company without spending more than it's worth and E-mail replies from them take over a week at a time. I guess that's why it's now over 2 months since I ordered the item and why I'm here trying to warn people to STAY AWAY FROM DEALS DIRECT, whatever you do.

"Crap products - which is fine if that's all you want for the relatively cheap prices. But lousy service, so if anything goes wrong you can forget about them replying to your many email requests for help and they don't provide a phone number either! I won't waste my time again."

"I ordered a Eurolab DVD player in March from Dealsdirect which stopped working 6 weeks later. Dealsdirect is refusing to offer any help as it is more than a month since purchase. While the express warranty is only a month I pointed out that just because a manufacturer's warranty is expired does not mean you are absolved of all responsibility to the customer. Under the Trade Practices Act, there is a statutory warranty which, put simply, stipulates that the product should function as described for a reasonable period, bearing in mind its price. It should also be of "merchantable quality".
I don't believe 6 weeks is a reasonable period irrespective of the express warranty supplied by the manufacturer. The Trade Practices Act sits above any terms and conditions a business may have.

I definitely would NOT recommend DealsDirect to anyone.

"I ordered through them to build an upgrade system and have done so before for about two years. I have recommended them to friends and have been responsible for about 5 systems worth of sales (~$3000).

This last order is the last time I will be ordering through Deals Direct. Their ordering system did not have a spot to enter a credit card that did not have my name on it, and because of this unique situation it took an extra week to get the extra paperwork (actual paperwork, as their online system is lacking) sorted out.

After the paperwork, I waited for another two weeks for them to ship the parts, but because THE online person (one person is responsible for all of the online ordering) was sick, it didn't ship as soon as it could have. I called several times and was assured it shipped. Frustrated, I sent one final e-mail to which I got a quick response on a Friday that he would get me the Canada Post tracking information. I got an e-mail back on Monday to say that Canada Post had received the shipment and it was two days after that when I finally got the parts.

I did not enjoy waiting for three weeks for a handful of parts, did not enjoy being lied to about the order being shipped and did not enjoy the overall experience of using Deals Direct. Typically I am a loyal customer, but they no longer have my business, or my friends whom have also gotten tired of their slow processing.

"I have had nothing but very good experiences with Deals Direct. I receive fair offers on my tradeins and excellent after sales support. I had purchased an ASUS A7V8X-X mobo and installed it to find that it would not post at the supported 333FSB. I phoned Mike and within the hour had a new A7V8X mobo-the top of the line one-no hassles, no fuss. I have been dealing with them for 4 years, having bought Win98SE OEM from them as my first OS, and they are now my main source of quality computer components at a good price. They have really taken the highend components stocking and support seriously.
