"I was told by "Decor Island Customer Service" that it does not need to be installed by--Plumbers Building Code. That is when I went ballistic because I built my house & yes it does and.... he also said this was my fault as the consumer. I am not a plumber but I do have a PhD (ABD). I waited weeks for the delivery, you "Decor" got my check but waited long for it to clear than longer still. From the time I ordered it--it was like 5 weeks before I received the box. (Then not their fault, I had a local plumber hold me off for another week +). Today, I found a new "qualified and licensed plumber" who open the box this morning ,and; took out the instructions. Not familiar with the product, he brought those instructions to the "Town Building Code & Plumbing officer"--- who said it does not meet UPA? code -something like United Plumbers Code? I also called Saniflo who also said it is the only Saniflow model that does not have that code--the model is SaniCompact. You, Decor Island -- who have online services --who mailed this package to Maine should know the States that only install UPA code products.
Your Customer Service Supervisor told me, I would be receiving a return slip in the next few days to send it back. Really and that makes it right. That has just convinced me again.....buy local!"
