"You can get good deals at this place, but I recently purchased two items and my order qualified for free shipping (because it was over $25). A day later I found out that the more expensive item was out of stock and that they had to cancel that portion of the order. I was then charged $5.95 for shipping on a $3.99 item. They did not refund me the full amount. I would not have purchased that item unless the free shipping was included. I had been a good customer and purchased several items in the past but won't be doing so again any time soon. Really disappointed!"
"Placed an order with a pre-ordered item and they didn’t say when it would arrive until after I paid (3 months from now). A couple days later placed another order with 2 backordered items - I emailed asking when they would ship, and was told they don’t know but don’t worry because they hadn’t charged me. But they DO CHARGE you for backordered items when you pay via PayPal. I replied TWICE that yes in fact they had charged me, but they wrote back each time “not to worry, we haven’t charged you” and we don’t know when it will ship.
Had to go through PayPal to get the money back. EVERY interaction with Deep Discount’s customer service was PAINFUL.
Canceled the pre-order and won’t use them again. ALSO - have ordered from them before and they use ZERO PADDING in their shipping boxes! Expect your Pops and collectibles to be badly damaged. They don’t even use sturdy boxes. A joke. "
"I am specifically writing a review on this website, because I looked it up BEFORE purchasing from Deep Discount. My daughter wanted a Studio Ghibli plush and Barnes and Nobles had only one on display and they would not let us touch it and they said that there were no more. the one at Barnes and Nobles for a 5" long plush animal cost $15. My daughter found it for $3.99 on Deep Discount. They put the order in right away, send up a confirmation email and a "shipped" email with tracking number and 5 days later, the toy arrived, brand new, beautifully packaged. Wonderful! I took a chance and I am happy that I did. Thank you."
"I ordered a DVD. It arrived sealed. When I opened it to play, it was completely scratched up. It would not play at all on our player. Funny thing about DVDs, you have to open them in order to see if they work!!! Return policy says they only accept unopened DVDs for refund. I tried to contact them, but could not get through. NEVER AGAIN! "

No they didn’t They waited until the time limited had past to Dispute my. problem with PayPal. I was not permitted after the time had expired and DDC didn’t refund my money.

It had been 4 days and no update. I messaged them and was told the item was out of stock (then why could I buy it?). I asked for a refund, they said it would be issued in 3-7 days. It was almost 10 and I had not received my money back.
I sent them another message and was told they were now issuing the refund and it would take 3-7 days. WTF? Why was it just now being submitted? Why wasn't it submitted 10 days ago?

"On the PLUS side, I got 6 new records for $5 to $7 each, with free shipping. A real bargain. They took two days to ship, plus 4 days shipping time. The records were well-packed (they use boxes with “wings” on the sides so the corners don’t get dented if it gets dropped).
On the MINUS side, they canceled two of the records I ordered from my order, first one and then the other. They refunded the second record, but not the first. I emailed customer service and the refund for the second item went through the next day.
Overall, I'm happy, but one star off for the canceled items and the forgotten refund. "
"I placed a preorder at the end of May on Deep Discount. 2 weeks later, I emailed them to check on my preorder status, they replied me within the hour and said my preorder has been put through and they will ship it out when it reaches their warehouse. Another 2 weeks go by and I get an email saying my preorder has been cancelled due to the item being "Out of stock". I emailed customer support to ask Why is a preorder item out of stock? They sent back a generic copy and paste answer that didn't even answer my question. "We apologize for the inconvenience please be free to replace the order we will honor the amount of the original order." You kidding me right, replace the order and get it cancelled again? No thank you.
I would not recommend this site at all, especially preordering. I paid by Paypal and got the refund the same day they cancelled my order. If you didn't get a refund through Paypal, file a claim right away, don't wait and don't close the dispute until they refund you. Giving them 2 stars only because they replied my emails within hours and refunded me the same day. "

"Recently had a discrepancy with an order. When I sent them a message through the site, they never responded. When I had an order discrepancy due to a fault of theirs, they made me jump through hoops to correct it. Told me they would call me back and never did. I believe the call center (or maybe the entire site) is run over seas and they simply don't care about the customer. Language barrier due to heavy accent a problem too. Good luck if you try them. Amazon has better prices anyway."
"I've order LP's from Deep Discount 6 or 7 times over the last 2 years, with international shipping to New Zealand and no problems whatsoever. From reading some of the 1 star reviews it looks like maybe there are issues with back orders or maybe some people just have unrealistic expectations? "I pre-ordered a figure thinking I was getting a good deal after it sold out on Crunchyroll, I should've read these reviews and waited. Bought the item 3/16/19 with a release date of 3/29/19, and shipping time of 3-10 business days. When that time passed I got nervous, and contacted DD through Instagram, where someone said they'd look into it. 3 days later (4/19/19 at this point, order late), I get an email saying my order shipped.. with an estimated time of 3-10 days. I should've received it 4/8/19 at the latest, but it arrived 4/27/19. 19 days late. I would not have been surprised if I never received it. I emailed customer service, looking for a reason my order was so disorganized and *late*, but I received the monotonious, autoreply-type answers every time I emailed them. They just kept telling me it shipped, and was on time, but I hadn't received it. Today they tell me that dates are subject to change without notice. Why would you not notify your customers of their orders' shipping and availability dates changing? Especially pre-ordered items? And why, if it was, in fact, changed did the other sites selling the item not change the release date, or restock dates? Why was only DeepDiscount affected and why tell me 4 days after I finally got my late order?

"I've recently started using Deep Discount and have had no issues. I've played 4 orders with them in the last six months. Initially I only ordered in stock items, and they all arrived by the 4th day after placing the order. Got more bold after these good experiences, ando ordered some backordered items and a preorder. Also read their backorder and preorder policy beforehand to set my expectations accordingly. Surprisingly, one of the backorders came in stock and it shipped shortly after. The others I decided to cancel on two separate occasions after I found them elsewhere. Never spent more than 3 min on the phone both times. Asked for and received cancellation email both times. It was painless. Note that DeepDiscount will pre-auth your card but not charge you until the item is shipped."
"We placed a pre-order back in December for two items to be delivered in May. I decided today to check on the status and if the expected date is still May. When I called, I was informed that the items had been "discontinued" and were no longer available. How can something that is not to be released until May be discontinued? I checked other sites and found that it can still be ordered. And when were they going to tell me that and issue a refund? It was only because I called that they have promised to process a refund. I strongly suspect that DeepDiscount took deposits from a number of people in order to place the order with the vendor and then planned to later inform the pre-order customers that the products are no longer available. Then, they can re-post the items when they receive them, but at a much higher price. I will never do business with DeepDiscount again and don't recommend them to anyone else, unless you like loaning your money to others for no return."
