"Panicked for a moment and thought I might have miss measured the prop shaft (the flange from the engine manufacturer didn't fit on the shaft).

So I called DeepBlue, hoping to hold off on the prop for a moment until I could verfiy. An hour later I was able to confirm that all was well and that 1" was indeed the right shaft size. (emery cloth and elbow grease made the difference).

"As I ordered a custom-selected and engineered propeller with 7 week delivery time, my total experience is not yet complete. However so-far it has basically been good, except that I had to request additional technical data and explanations for their proposal, some of which I feel could have been in the original quote. I also would have felt much more confident if they had been able to assure me that their calculated recommendation had been successfully used on similar boats to mine. As this was not confirmed, I still feel a little unsure of the final results of this upgrade. These concerns are only due to the more complex technical aspects of my application, otherwise, and with less complex components, their service, efficiency, product-range and value are very good and I will be using their services again soon.
