"Ordered Wrangler 20X jeans, I already had a pair and just loved them. The ones I got from Denim Express were of inferior quality; they fit much smaller, the pockets were smaller and the overall quality was less than what I was expecting. Shipping was $7 on the original order and when I wanted to exchange them, I found out that I would have to pay return shipping, and pay another $7 to recieve the exchange pair. I don't know if the problem with the fit was Wrangler's fault or Denim Express' but I will not order from them again. Oh yeah and it took 2 weeks to get them!"
"I ordered from Denim Express back in 2006 and received my merchandise in only 1 week. On Feb 18 I ordered 2 pair of Carhartt jeans and 2 pair of boot socks. One pair of the jeans was to be shipped between March 3rd and March 5th according to their website. After I placed my order I read some of the reviews on this and other sites and planned for the worst. However I got an email on Feb. 25th that my complete order was shipped and I received it today via UPS/USPS "free shipping". Only a screw-up by the local UPS office caused a one day delay in delivery. Sorry that everyone else has not had a similar experience."
"I'm VERY disappointed! Had I read any of these reviews ahead of time I would not have wasted my own time by ordering through this company. I ordered a pair of bibs that were supposedly in stock, and 14 days later when I emailed Denim Express to find out where my order stood they informed me that their shipment would be in by the end of the week and my order would be fulfilled and shipped within 10 days of that. I was looking at a final timeframe from placing to receiving my order of nearly a month... NOT ACCEPTABLE! Had I not contacted them about my order, my suspicion is that they would have never contacted me."

"I too ordered jeans from Denim Express and qualified for free shpping. A pair of jeans didn't fit. I was told I had to pay to ship them back, to pay for an exchange and or pay for the original shipping which I saved by purchasing $70 or more.

"I purchased jeans here that were too long. They were tagged as "medium length" which fits my 5' 5" height but they were way too long! I had to do a 3" cuff just to keep them off the floor! I thought I shouldn't have to settle for that so I shipped them back at my cost and was refunded for the jeans but not the total amount. They charged me the original $7.00 that I saved when I qualified for fee shipping. When I tried to argue this they said the jeans weren't defective and they were following policy. I think the jeans were defective. If they were tagged for "long length" it would be normal but not "medium length". Now they will sell them to someone else and repeat the same problem.
Also - I purchased 3 identical pairs of jeans here and they all fit VERY differently. One was too big, one too long and one too small! Maybe they buy reject jeans at a lower cost and sell them to us at regular prices. Buying here is a risk that I will never take again. "
"I placed an order on 11/26/10 for a pair of carhartt flannel lined pants and carhartt coveralls, the total was 107 and change, which qualified me for free shipping. Apparently, there is a glitch somewhere because 3 minutes before that order was placed, another one was placed for just the flannel lined pants. I was charged 7.00 for shipping for them. When I called customer service to try to fix this, they were of no help at all. They told me that they could cancel the pants off my original order since it hadn't shipped yet but that would put my order under 70.00 so I would have to pay another 7.00 to ship the coveralls. And if I returned the pants that I had already received and just wait for the other order, I would not be reimbursed the shipping I was charged and I also had to pay the shipping to return it. I find it a little hard to believe that there is no way to give me free shipping. I cancelled my original order and am returning the pants. Even though I have to eat the shipping charges, I'd rather do that than keep a product from a company that had complete crappy service. I will never place an order with them again and I will make sure to tell everyone I know how horrible they are. "
"I ordered a Shape Ups shoes item for $89 that I everywhere else was $109. I was concerned about said shoes because I felt how could they be cheaper and accurate. I'd also read some bad reviews about Denim Express. However, I received the shoes. The right size, the right color, fast, and with no hassle. I'm extremely pleased with this store, and their product!"
"Bad reviews left me leery of their service but I went ahead and made two orders anyway. Unfortunately, although my last order was for three pairs of identical jeans (511 skinny), only two of them fit properly. The third pair were at least an inch wider at the waist and just didn't fit the same as the others.
Given that I would have to pay for return shipping plus pay a penalty for the free shipping on the original order, it simply wasn't worth my time.
The order total was $95.94 which would have been great had I received the three articles I ordered but as I essentially only received two pairs of jeans, $48 price-tag can be easily matched at most local stores.
My first order was similar - some jeans fit well while others did not even though they were purportedly the same brand.
Roll the dice if you're feeling lucky....."
"I'm done with these guys. Order processing is always slow. There's no indication when ordering if your item is in stock or not- and they frequently are NOT. It took them a week to inform me that the items I ordered were were out of stock and backordered. This only after I requested status. Poor communication on order status, a website that doesn't reflect inventory, and slow order processing. Buyer beware. Thumbs down...."
"My order was shipped and delivered promptly. There was a shortage of a particular size/color combination, but a representative contacted me to adjust the order on the day I placed it. I've purchased from Denim Express before and will likely do so again."
"DO NOT BUY FROM THSE PEOPLE! Horrible store, misleading advertising, "free" shipping is NOT free--if you return anything, you'll not only pay the return shipping fee (fair enough) but they will deduct a hefty fee for the original shipping. Unbelieveable! Customer service would not help, and now that I see from other reviewers what a shoddy, cheap, rip-off company it is, I'm not surprised. You can do much better for about the same money with actual reputable retailers."
"I used denim express several times in 2006/2007, but had not placed an order lately. Reading the reviews here left me leery, but my most recent order arrived at my APO in Iraq only 8 days after I placed the order. This is the same service I've always received from them, so I still don't have any issues.
I've never needed to contact customer service, so I have nothing to review on that aspect of the business."
