"This is the third time I've ordered from Detail City. They have excellent products and a nice website that goes over how to detail using products that they carry. I feel confident in the security of my order and customer service has been good to me the one time I inquired about a free product that was offered on one of my orders.

My only two complaints are that their shipping prices are a little high and on my last order it took until the night of the third business day from my order to tell me they were shipping the product. If I'm paying 8 dollars to ship a 40 dollar bottle of high quality auto sealer it'd be nice if they could get it out the door faster than 3 full business days.

"I found Detail City while searching for auto detailing supplies online and I found their selection to be comprehensive and website easy to find my way around. I called the toll free number first to get some advice and the gentleman on the phone was actually the owner of the company. I then placed my order online and it only took 4 days to get my order. "Made a $126 order from Detail City. Arrived in 8 days. I did place the order late at night, so it's really more like 7 days. They use Yahoo for their checkout, so I don't know why the previous poster would not have received confirmation.

The website was running a bonus offer, and they did not include it in the package. I emailed them at 4pm (probably after hours their time), and a human being responded 14 hours later to apologize and said they'd get it in the mail.

I later emailed them (at 1:30 am) saying I wished to return a product, and 5 1/2 hours later replied saying just keep it or give it to a friend, and refunded me money immediately via Paypal.

My experience with this company has been very positive, and I am going to place another $80 order with them this week.

"I bought a Porter Cable PC7424 from this merchant and had to return it due to lack of communication, on their part. After I placed my order, I received no email pertaining to any of the details of my order, no receipt, no tracking number, and no status info. This was compounded by the long time it took them to ship the product. Over a week. After receiving another product I bought from another online store, on the same day, I figured the transaction didn't go through (no emails remember and no withdraw from my bank account). After a day or so, I found another site that was actually cheaper and ordered the same item from them. Both items arrived on the same day. I was surprised to say the least. The return process was easy and fast, but even after admitting the made a mistake, they still charged me for shipping in both directions. Speaking of shipping, they charged double what it actually costs for the initial shipment; much like is common on eBay. Sell cheap; make it up in an inflated shipping charge."
