"This company, whatever name they are using, is NIGHTMARE. I encountered them as Dex-YP. We did not accept the proposal and ads they sent to us, even going so far as to write across the contract that we didn't accept it. Now we are in collections for money that we don't even owe them. The time I have spent trying to get this straightened out is costly and the aggravation is non stop. DO NOT do business with Thryv, Dex-YP, Dex Media or whatever they are calling themselves. "
"They called me when I first opened my buisness when a person is most vulnerable. Showing me so falls bs stats that people look at yellow pages the most for work. Told me if I signed up I’ll at least get 4 clients a month, I didn’t get a single customer and it’s been a year! They made promises that one of the agents will call and check up on us at least once a week, to make sure me as a buisness owner can get the best results. Gathered my information. I as a new buisness owner fell into the there load of crap. And signed up I was told I have a month or until they print the first book to cancel. I called a million times trying to cancel never got through! Just got hit with a bunch of robots, I emailed them! Never got a response it’s been over a year! They still only call to ask why I’m not paying them? Are you kidding? I ask to speak to the manager they say there’s no way they can connect me to them. They got my information wrong! Didn’t get any work from them, and I haven’t talked to them, and now they’re putting me on collection? Hell no. "
"This company will not let us out of a contract, even though the business is no longer in operation. (the contract does NOT address the issue of a closed business still being liable for "advertising". They still keep billing every month. The rep misled us by stating that since there was no longer a business, there would be no further monthly charges. The rep stated this information came from "customer care". However, bills continue to come, and now a threatening letter has arrived stating our "past due" account will be turned over to collection. NO business, but keep paying for advertising anyway? (the amount is now near $2000.00 as the "contract" continues in force. What is wrong with a company like this??? Does the FTC know what is going on here??"
"Dex YP printed an incorrect ad for me - even after I told them the information was incorrect. They then proceeded to try to charge me. I had multiple conversation with them where they agreed to correct it, reverse the charges, whatever. Never happened. Now they are threatening me with legal action. THEY PRINTED INCORRECT CONTACT INFORMATION IN MY AD! I never signed off on anything but apparently a phone conversation is legally binding for them. Buyer beware. It isn't worth the time and frustration and you won't get what you ask for anyway."

"As of jan.2019 signed contract for 1year (2019)...was told book distribution starts in March, now its may 6th our customers in the area in which we advertised in the book say haven't received there phonebooks ... at this time though dexmedia had sent me my bill to pay by may 18th...
It's insane to think I got scammed to pay for something that didn't go thru ..... im getting signatures from those that had not received there phone books at their front doors ..

"I apparently signed a contract with them five years ago in 2013 and I am receiving collection calls from them because they have an automatic renewal clause...forever? They say they are with the yellow pages but another company handles my yellow page ad and I verify it every year when I renew. They wanted me to pay the balance due over the phone but wanted me to verify my business address and could not give it to me themselves.("Well this is you and this is your business isn't it? Why can't you give me the address?"...and I was like...why can't you give me my address if I have this outstanding invoice and I signed the mystery contract that she swore she was looking at with my signature on it?) "Had a rep for this company in 2015. Got on with them. He asked me to renew in 2016. I reluctantly did. Never heard anything beyond 2016. Now I am getting collection notices. Called company to complain. They said there is an automatic renewal clause. I said, well that's funny, why was a rep begging me to renew in 2016? Never heard from him in 2017 or in 2018? "
"I was associated with them hoping getting correct reviews, pictures and name of my shop the business that on the page. After 10 months of paying $69 every months, I don't see any change and improvement.
I called in 2 months prior the contract ended, and TOTALLY understand I need to pay full 12 months of $69. I didn't do any stop payment action to my business account, they simply discontinued withdraw last 2 payments from my account. The next thing I know is that they sent me to collection!!! They got my email, my shop number,my cell phone number and shop address, but they decided not bother to notify me, go straight to COLLECTION ! ! good job, YP, i am proud of you!"

"Dex YP charged up $8,800 a month for 1.5 years promising results and getting none. The website they built for us looked like a middle school student made it, and the google ad words they ran for us never worked. I truly believe they were just pocketing the money and spending a small portion of it. TERRIBLE experience, if you want your company to be successful DO NOT go with Dex or thryve or whatever they are calling the company this month. Lastly, when you go to cancel wait till you see how NASTY they get!"
"These guys are a total SCAM. They are forcing us to pay $150 a month for advertising we NEVER approved, never said we wanted. And the pictures and information they printed in "our ad" is all incorrect. And there is nothing they will do about it. If you see daxmedia calling RUN!!!"
