"The printer I was normally doing business with had very good pricing and was generally great with any problems that popped up. But because everything is pretty much automated, they can't do any kind of requests. So that's why I went to Diggypod, and they get EXCELLENT marks for listening and handling my requests. It did cost more, though. Even though about 85% of the books I received were in seemingly perfect condition, 10% had minor flaws, and 5% had flaws that were a bit more than minor. I didn't have this issue with the other company (maybe a couple of their books had a curve to them due to how they rested in the shipping box, but they did toss in a couple free ones). But the flaws I'm talking about are typically blemishes in the glossy covers, little bends on the covers (and sometimes extending into the book fairly deep), and/or perhaps some issues with trimming. One of the books looks like it had been scribbled on with an "invisible ink" ball point pen in an area perhaps the size of two dimes, side by side (I'm describing the texture). So it looks like I'm going to have to sell these flawed books at a discount. I guess for the higher price I paid, I would have expected better quality control than this. These flaws do not seem to be something to have occurred during shipping (all but one box seemed to be very well-secured on the inside). Everything else is great -- the inside printing and binding, etc."
