"I placed an order on July 31 for a Nikon Coolpix 4500. They said the camera was in stock, and would be received within a few days. I called a few days later to make sure it had been sent and was told that only the non-US version was available. I told them I did not want this. I have since had no response from the company and no camera and no credit back to my VISA card. They seem to have dissappeared. I am filing a VISA dispute and a complaint with the PA Dept of Consumer Affiars. They need as much info as I can give them on the company. Since I ordered online, I only remember that their company was in Bryn Mahr, PA. If anyone has their full address, contact name, phone numbers, etc., can you please e-mail it to me so that I can report them. Thank you."
"I ordered my first digital camera from this company one week before a big family vacation. They assured me that it would arrive before I left, but the camera never came. I called them the last day before we left and they said it had not been shipped yet. So, I cancelled my order. Four weeks later, and I haven't been refunded. I called customer support and was put on hold for over 20 minutes until it "timed out" on me. So I called sales and finally reached a someone. They said I would get my refund in 3 to 5 days. I'm crossing my fingers. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY."
"Do not do any business with this company. On the morning of 7-17-03 I ordered a Canon PowerShot S50 camera online and received the confirmation e-mail. The next day I requested the status of my order via the internet. It auto-responded wait 3 days and if no reply call DigiOnix. I waited over the weekend and called on 7-21 to check on it. I spoke to a male who said it should go out that day or the next at the latest. Two days later having still not received an e-mail telling me it had shipped out I left a phone message. The next morning it was not returned. After 50 minutes on hold, I spoke to Bridget who put me on hold but came back saying it was on her desk and she would send it out that day. She upgraded my camera to next day delivery at their cost. So far so good, and that’s where it ends.
The camera did come in the next day, 7-24, but was a silver modeled S50. The US model should be black. The website shows a black model and lists USA warranty in two places. Fearing I had been duped I started investigating. The model number (item code) on my invoice, and their website was 8445A001. What shipped was 8399A003. That number does appear in an Australian dealer’s website ad which when linked to the manufacturer’s website goes to Cannon Australian. I checked with Cannon USA customer service and was given an official, “There has been no announcement about a silver model S50 in the US.” I called DigiOnix on 7-25 and spent 21 minutes on hold before speaking to Nick. He inquired why I was uncomfortable with the silver model. I told him it’s not what they advertised, not what I ordered and paid for, and I didn’t feel like having to pay for shipping to Australia for any warranty work. He gave me a return authorization number.
Fortunately I had a trip to PA planned that day and decided to take a little detour to return the camera in person. The shop was disappointing at best. A male who identified himself as Joseph came forward. I handed him the camera and waited for a refund receipt so I could be done with DigiOnix. A woman behind a desk tried to explain that they received the wrong shipment and the correct ones would be in next week or so. Then Joseph tried to tell me they advertise it as an import. He started looking it up on his computer without success. He didn’t want to see the pages I printed out just the day before. Then the woman said it was the web page administrator’s fault, because they have been trying to get the “USA warranty” removed from the ad for a month. I can’t imagine it being too time consuming to remove 4 words from and existing web site. Joseph gave me a receipt for the returned camera. They were able to charge my purchase within a day. Fortunately the refund only took 3 days to post.
If DigiOnix had made ANY effort to inform me they had a problem on their end I wouldn’t be so upset. They had three opportunities (e-mail confirmation & two customer service calls) to set the record straight prior to shipping me the wrong camera. So I’m left to believe that everything DigiOnix did was intentional.
Buyer beware.
Just FYI DigiOnix appears to have two sister companies at the same address and phone numbers. They are 645AF.com and Genesis Camera.

"Beware! This camera store also sells online as "Genesis Camera" and "645af" (both those names, not DigiOnix, appeared on my credit card) - see the comments under those names for a world of hurt!
I bought an "in-stock" camera online. They charged my card right away. Called 5 days later, and of course they didn't have it. They gave me a standard lie: "Oh yeah... I think those are coming in tomorrow." I cancelled. At least they credited my card several days later. "
