Ordered a Sony SR11. Got a call that the SR11 was only available as an upgrade package and was offered a free upgraded battery. OK, I said. Two weeks later, the camera still hadn't arrived so I called them to check on it. The salesperson told me that Sony had shipped only "SR12" cameras by mistake and I could upgrade again for $100 "to make up for my inconvenience". At that point, I knew I was being played and I cancelled the order. Half hour later I was called by the credit department and told that they had contacted Sony and arranged for the SR11 to be shipped. Caller-ID on my phone showed "Zoomania.com" as the caller. Yeah, right...

So, shop elsewhere. This is a scam operation that used to be known as Zoomania until the ZooMania name got too heavy. Like I said, let the BBB know..."

"I was trying to buy a Sony camcorder DHR-S120 from this store, it was just one of many dishonest internet companies. They sent me an email asking for order verification. Over the phone, I was told that if I didn't buy another package from them, that order would not be honored. I therefore cancelled my order. I believe other customers don't want to waste their time either. Beware of this store."

"The old "bait-and-switch." Get you to place an order because of a good price and then -- we don't have the single item, but give us more money and we'll sell you an overpriced "package" upgrade. When you question their tactics, you're treated rudely. Don't waste your time. Order from B & H."

"I ordered a Canon HV-30 because it was a good price and listed as in stock on their web site. After ordering the product I was later sent an email stating that there was a problem with my order. When I called to find the status of my order I was told by their sales assistant Scott that they did not have the camera and if I wanted one I would have to buy a more expensive package and there were no single cameras available. They were going to be receiving some more cameras in a few days but they were all sold and to be sent "over seas" and they could not give me a date at when they would be available. This is a classic example of bring in customers with a great sale on a product that is not available and trying to sell a higher priced product. The sales representative was rude with me while requesting that they sell me what was listed on their web site. They refused to give me a date for when the camera would be available and I had to cancel my order."

"Order a Sony HDR-SR11 hoping for a good deal. Got the e-mail requesting that I call in to confirm my order. Upon calling in I was told that the camcorder was not in stock and only available in a package.When I asked to speak to a supervisor george became very rude with me and cancel my order.Looks like another one of thoose website scams."
