"I purchased a Sony Camcorder and not only did the sales person answer all my questions but he explained the quality of my purchase. He also let me know when I could expect my Camcorder to arrive and re-explained the cost. The Camcorder came as planned and it works great. "I ordered a Digital Camera for DigitalHawks. The price was excellent as was the cost of various accessories which I bought with their advice. "I ordered a Nikon Coolpix P80 from digitalhawks.com. When I received the camera, the LCD screen had a few minimal scratches on it. When I called Digital Hawks, the gentleman explained to me that these things happen from time to time and informed me that they would be more than willing to exchange the camera for me. He said that I would have 7 days in which to return the camera and gave me a return authorization number. However, after trying the camera out, I fell in love with it and do not want to part with it. The scratches are so minimal that no one else even notices them anyway! The camera works perfectly. I've used it and "played" with it several hours since I received it three days ago. The battery is still going strong! I love this camera. Simon, from Digital Hawks has even promised to send me a 5 year extended warranty worth $100.00 for my initial disappointment with the camera!

Their shipping time is fantastic. I ordered my camera on a Monday, received a notification with a tracking number from UPS on Wednesday, and I received my camera on Friday in KY. KUDOS to their shipping department for getting things ready as soon as my payment cleared.

I am extremely satisfied with my purchase. I have a great camera from a company who provides excellent customer service! And for anyone who would like to have one of these cameras, you can't find them cheaper anywhere else. They run around $300.00 on Amazon! I paid $75.00 less! What a great deal!

Digital Hawks is definitely a company who strives to keep their customers happy! This is definitely one happy customer! I plan to purchase from this company again...when I get ready for a DSLR...I've noticed they have great prices on those too!

Update: I received the warranty as promised just a few days after I last spoke with Simon. I wanted to add this to let others know that digitalhawks.com doesn't make "empty promises." They stick to their word

"I ordered a camera from DigitalHawks’ website at a very good price. The next day, I called the 800 number to confirm the purchase went thru. At that time, I was told the body color I’d ordered was unavailable. Since the color didn’t matter to me, I asked & they agreed to change the order to an in-stock body color. This was followed by a rather hard-sell pitch to add another battery to my order, saying that the battery that comes with the camera will only last for 20 minutes per charge. They offered 2 options at prices considerably higher than I knew I could find easily elsewhere. I politely declined any extra items, and that was the end of the sales pitches.

A couple days later, I received a UPS email confirming shipment with a delivery date well within Digital Hawks’ promised time frame. When the camera arrived, I confirmed that all the “included items” described online were in the box and in good condition. All items appear new & unused, are correctly branded, and were well packaged. Just one disappointment: the abbreviated “Basic Operating Instructions” manual is in Spanish only, so when traveling I’ll have to carry the bulkier English complete operating instructions. I can live with that.

I just finished charging the battery and putting the camera through its paces for about an hour – so far everything seems to be in working order.

Bottom line: I’m a satisfied customer. Would I order from them again? Probably not – the pressure tactics pushing over-priced accessories were off-putting, and I don’t believe a reputable seller would do that.

"This was my complaint:
I am writing to complain of the items I received from you in addition to the camera that I ordered for the price of $418 with free shipping.

After you received my order a gentleman (?) called me to say that the battery packed with the camera was only a 20-minute battery and that I would need a good battery. I chose a “7-hour” battery and the gentleman said if would be about $80 and that he would at that price send me “a case made especially for the Canon G10.”

I received an Invoice with the camera for $541.99—at least $40 over what was quoted to me on the phone. And the price I was quoted was BOGUS! It should not have been more than $470.

I also received a battery virtually identical to the one that came with the camera and your invoice said “5-hour” battery and NOT 7-hour. I have looked online and this battery cost at the highest $50 and can be bought almost anywhere at the lowest price of $13!!! The same battery!!!

The case I received is for a video camera and does not fit the Canon G10 at all!

Naively, I expected to receive a 7-hour Canon battery (did NOT) and a Canon case for the G10 (did NOT).

I do not know how to resolve this and I am hoping against hope that you will make this right!

At the most my bill should have been $480 and probably not that much at all since the items I received were NOT what I ordered. I am hoping you will resolve this by telling me what to do and reducing my bill. This was definitely NOT a “Value Package.”
I was referred to Simon at ***-***-****. Simon said I was not offered a 7-hour battery. Simon said a 5-hour battery was with the camera packing as a bonus in addition to the other 5-hour battery. Simon did not address the camera case. Simon offered me a 5-year warranty for the camera as a resolution of the "misunderstanding" and I accepted this. As of this writing, of course, I have not received the warranty. I will receive it in a few days.

"I placed an order for a camcorder, but since they were unable to fulfill the order in the time I needed it, they cancelled the order for me without issue.
I also ordered a 4GB SD card for a digital camera. Unfortunatly, the wrong product arrived and I called to see if I could return it. After some miscommunication and an issue with the post office I was finally able to resolve everything with Simon. Another reviewer mentioned speaking with someone who was rude--if this happens, call back or email and ask to speak with someone else. DigitalHawks does care about their reputation and will most likely help you to resolve your issue.

"I ordered a Canon Digital PowerShot A1000 camera and a 2GB SD memory card.

The day after I placed my order, the seller called and informed me that the card I had ordered would not work well in the camera – he said it would take 6 seconds to shoot a picture and the video mode wouldn't work at all. He told me that I should instead order a different card that was double the price. I knew that the card I ordered would work, as my daughter has the exact same camera with a smaller card and it works fast and well both for still shots and video. I told the man I wanted to delete the card from my order. The seller said he wouldn't do that and would send what I had ordered. He rudely hung up on me.

I received the camera 16 days later and I was surprised to find that it was not the gray camera I had ordered but PURPLE instead. I also found that it was missing the 32 MB card that the manual says is included (and that came with my daughter's camera). It was also missing some of the usual plastic packaging and wrapping that comes with new items – the batteries were not packaged as new and after using the camera for ten minutes the batteries were dead. I have to wonder if the camera has been used before. It was supposed to be new and stated that a manufacturer’s warranty was included.

I am NOT pleased with the fact that the seller lied to me and that I received a product color that I did NOT order and which has a missing part and used batteries.

I would NOT order from this merchant again. I don’t trust him.


FOLLOW-UP POST two days later:

The digital camera I got is BROKEN. I thought it was just the batteries, but now I found out it's the camera!! After 10 minutes of use, no matter what new batteries I put in, the camera says "change batteries" and the screen goes black and the camera shuts down.

DigitalHawks poses as a dealer of NEW equipment, saying on their webstie that the products have a 1-year manufacturers' warranty. The camera I bought did NOT have the warranty card enclosed.

I not allowed to list the website which shows further such negative reviews, but I'll just say that one should research DigitalHawks before purchasing from them. I wish I hadn't wasted my time and money...

"i bought a kodak camera Z980 from this company. i love the camera. the sales people were really helpful in getting me equipped with all of the extras. i love how my camera works. i have had more fun taking pictures. i origanally just ordered the camera, but they helped me with the right kind of memory card, case, rechargeable batteries, and extended warranty. when i got the camera the memory card would not work in the camera, but i sent it back and they are getting ready to send me a new one. i would recommend this company to others. they have been really pleasant on the phone when i have called them. "

"I Placed an order for garmin nuvi 255w navigation system for my car and it was listed for 155 which is about 5 dollars cheaper than amazon and i got worried since i could not read any reviews about this company and i placed it and a day later i called them to see if they received it and they said it will ship today the next day i got a tracking email number from quantum which is ups service i guess and it showed ill receive it in 4 days when i got it i was happy to see a good price i could not believe it i got it for that price i will definitely shop from here again thanks mr. vega "
