"I have purchased high ticket items in the past online. This is the first time, a vendor has charged my card a full price of $3300 when the delivery was 3-4 months out. Very poor business practices. I assumed that the delivery was in progress when I saw the full charge in my card....called customer service to inquire. Met immediately with rude, belligerent individual - very angry about the question of when I could expect delivery. Immediately jumped to "I can cancel this order right now!! - you were informed in the website, etc.". I said I needed think about it ... "You better hurry! (angry voice). I did cancel the order and got a full refund. "
"Unfortunately this company uses Oak Harbor Freight to deliver the dinette (in CA), this company only delivers to the driveway. I am disabled so had to call and pay for someone to help me bring the 6 boxes into the house and set-up. The frieght company says they don't have insurance to go into the home. Seems to me if customer service is a priority for Dinettes online they would make sure the customer gets delivery inside the home. With Oak Harbor you can pay an axtra $150 for white glove service (I found out when I had their deliveries in the past from Costco)"
"I saw a 5 piece dinette set made by this company on amazon.com and planned on getting it. I went directly to there website and saw the shipped price to be cheaper then on amazon.com by a few dollars so I bought directly from dinette.com.
I received the packages for my Dinette set (Avanti 5 Piece Dinette Set) and opened and put them together (was easy, didn’t really even need the nicely detailed instructions).
A week after I had been using my dinette set I had to setup some drapes and was dumb enough to try and use the seat as a ladder. I stood in the middle of the seat with one leg and heard a crack. I quickly got off it and saw it had slightly folded in the middle of the chair.
On 4-4-2008 I called Dinette Direct at 1-***-***-**** and left a message about my problem and that I wanted to buy just 1 single cushion for the chair.
Since I received no return phone call, I called again on 4-9-2008 and was greeted by Danielle. I explained my situation to her and she said she will call me back shortly to see what they can do. She called back 2 hours later and said she found an extra cushion and will ship it to me FOR FREE!
I was ready to pay for a replacement along with shipping but instead I get it for free.
A++ for there customer service. I will surely use them again in the future and tell others about them.
Many companies have great prices but not many have great customer service (some have none at all).
For those wondering about weight, I had a 370 lb person sit in these seats and nothing happened to it. It withstood the weight fine. Placing all your weight (~200lbs) and standing on your toes on one foot to reach for a mounting (on the drapes) wasn’t a smart idea because it places all my weight in a small 2 inch by 2 inch section of the chair.
