"Have ordered on boxing day weekend an asus vivopc computer which was selling at an unbelievable price. Two days later, they put order on hold without any explanation. "On August 31, 2014 after checking several interesting offers of directdial.com published on their web-site (I have the proof) for projectors and TVs including NEC Display V423-DRD for $29, NEC Display V463-DRD for $37 and NEC Display E464 for $37 I have placed the Internet order # ***-***-**** for 2 NEC Display E464 46" 1080p LED-LCD TVs. On the same day I have received on my e-mail address an order confirmation stating all purchase details, including the price of merchandize, eco fees, shipping and insurance fees and total price of my purchase. Taking in consideration that the above-mentioned order was concluded according to the product details displayed on business web-site, confirmed via e-mail, and presented on my profile on August 31st, September 1st and 2nd, 2014, I expected the business to fulfill the order in due time. However, on 02.09.2014 I have got an e-mail informing me that my order was cancelled and deleted from web client account according to their policy. After several e-mail messages and even a well-dressed complaint logged through BBB they still denied the deal. Don't buy anything from this mom and pop basement company. "I only bought once from them in 2009 but got good service, I bought a small discountinued fridge (!). They were the only one to still list it. They called me (!) to confirm that there would be delay and the guy was quite surprised that they listed fridges at all.
I received it in a relatively fair delay taking in account they had to hunt for it and shipping to my door was 18$ taking in account it was >80lbs! The price was very good too.
It was correctly listed as out of stock on the website."
"Worst customer service! When I placed my order I had selected the option of having my item delivered to a different address from the ship to address. I confirmed everything at the end prior to hitting the final button, but my item went to the bill to address instead. When I phoned to ask what they could do about it, the General Manager Bill King, told it was my problem. He wouldn't even look into the issue, saying that their information says the address it was shipped to is correct. He was extremely condenscending and rude. Won't be ordering from them again. "
"I found about Directdial by doing a search with shopbot.ca They happen to have items not available anywhere else in Canada and at the best price. Information on their website is lacking. Lot of products have no pictures. But I found the info on what I wanted on the manufacturer website. I order a Middle Atlantic computer rack 37U. The shipping rate on the check out form was 18$. I thougth it was cheap for an item of that weight and it was the only place I found shipping those from Canada so I placed my order. I was suprised the day after to receive an email from them stating that the shipping should be 50$ and that I could cancel my order if I don't agree... I agreed anyway but I complain about that fact. They were very communicative (contradicting some reviews here, soo maybe thay improved in that aspect) and finally the item arrived to me (in Montreal) the next day! (I placed my order monday night and received it wednesday around noon!). It was the fastest order I never received and I buy a lot from the internet! So finally I'm really happy with them and I will surely order a lot more. Just be sure to take your info on other websote too and be aware that shipping may be adjusted and you can save a lot by buying from Direct Dial.
Other thought: it seems I received my product shipped directly from Middle Atlantic and the Direct Dial website state that we can shop directly from the manufacturer. So I think that's why there are some difficulties about shipping prices and info about products but at the same time it's probably the way to get more competitive prices too."
"They carried some blank discs that were hard to find, and they arrived fine. But I agree with other individuals that their customer service is negligent, and probably unlawful. It happens I needed to ask them to mail printed receipts. They ignored all messages.
They have a legal obligation to provide that. Good thing it's only discs, which I wouldn't need to return to a manufacturer. I would not rely on them for anything important, and don't plan on dealing again."
